People act like this is an isolated incident when it happens all the times and kids switch last minute with no warning. Kids have switched to LSU and LSU fans were fine but when I kid switches against LSU he is worst thing ever.

Switching is one thing. Not showing up for classes when you committed is another. The early enrollment issue here cost LSU another recruit though - BIG difference.

Nope no difference to me, obviously if LSU wanted Miller they would have offered him a actual scholarship instead of wanting him to grayshirt with arrival of Gunner (or whatever they wanted from him) When LSU had Gunner they were sitting at what 21/22 committments? They would have still had room for Miller correct? So what did LSU and coaching staff tell him that made him switch to Auburn?

Please give me the back story in case I am actually missing the details

I don't give a shite what Kiel thinks. The kid is going to be ruined by Kelly anyway.....good riddance.

Miller wanted to be an early enrollee. He was never going to grey shirt. It was a matter of whether he would arrive in January or August. There were limited EE openings. Kiel wanted to enroll early too. LSU had to make a decision (or lose Kiel) as to who they had to defer until August and it was Miller. Miller decided that being an EE was more important than the school he chose. That's fine. I have no problem with Miller's decision. I have a problem with Kiel's lack of integrity that cost us Miller.

So in other words the coaching staff made a decision and lost out on a player. Thanks for clarifying that...
LSU could have done things differently and kept Miller but coaches made a decision and lost out on him. Can't fault Miller or Gunner that was on coaches.

I'm not "blaming" anybody. You wondered why LSU fans are pissed off about what Kiel did and tried to insinuate that this switch in commitments was no different than any other. Any rational person can see the why LSU fans would be pissed and any knowledgeable college football fan can see the difference. As it turns out, we ended up getting a much better leader at QB and and JUCO All-American OL that has 100 lbs on Miller and who will be ready to play the day he sets foot on campus.

You are all blaming Gunner when the actual reason is LSU coaches and their decision cost LSU Miller. But it is easier to blame an 18 year old kid for choosing to stay closer to home and vilifying others when they wanna get out of state (Collins). Although I do enjoy the subtle swipe about "knowledge" it is laughable but believe what you will and blame the kids.

I'm not blaming anybody....but if you don't understand the logistics of early enrollment or acknowledge that coaches have to make decisions based on the integrity of these "18 year old kids", then not only are you not knowledgeable....you are flat out fricking stupid. LSU fans have no problem with Miller. Many do have a problem with Collins because they believe LA kids should stay home but most will agree that it is his decision to make and at least he never committed to LSU and left them scrambling. What Kiel did was on a completely different level.

No I don't understand it Gunner

its pretty simple, the family watched LSU all year like most of the coutry and saw how Miles threw his QB under the bus, like most the coutry outside of the JJ butboy circle jerk saw, and decided no way. Miles can blame himself, if he had any humility.

Awwww jumped to name calling, I bet you are one of those fans who praises players when they switch to LsU after being committed else where. I guess I could be angry about it like yourself and call out an 18 year old to be "cool" on a message board. Oh how I wish I was as "cool" and knowledgeable as yourself, oh the humanity

Come on bee reading comprehension, show me where I "bashed" don't be so sensitive because I properly placed the blame for handling of gunner/miller on coaches rather than the kids. I guess you blame the kid as well huh? I had hoped from better from you.

I'm not blaming the kid at all for costing us a recruit. That blame lies solely on the coaches. My only beef is with the way it went down. It happened last minute. I think that Kiel could have done a better job at informing the staff of his intentions.

I'm in no way blaming him for costing us another recruit though. Just thought the situation could have been handled better by both sides.
