I just don't think you can recover from the in-game management issues he has had, most notably Ole Miss last year.
I know Mack Brown also lacks in this department, but he has a guaranteed top class every year, and maintains top notch coordinators in a conference that requires one big win a year.
I am at peace with the fact that we will be 7-5 this year. I am only hoping that we gain valuable experience at key positions from personnel that can contribute to future championships.
Worst case scenario for me, would be 4 losses out of Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Florida. A 9-4 season with losses to four out of those five could be enough to create a perfect storm, IMO.

Larry Coker averaged 10 wins a season. When Miles has another 8 or 9 win season this year, will you still be saying that? How bout next year?
Anyone calling for Miles to be fired after the last two seasons is being unfair. THIS is the make or break for Les Miles. The play on the field the last two seasons has been baffling and disappointing but the record is still good enough to keep him on.
Miles isn't going to be fired after a 4 loss season, two years removed from a NC no matter how badly someone wants it to happen. My guess is that if LSU has a poor offensive year that Crowton will be the scapegoat and it buys Miles another year or two.

I totally agree with this statement. I enjoy LSU sports unlike many of the miserable human beings on this board.

one could say the others are the real fans of lsu because they want their team to be champions rather than outback bowl losers

You just don't get it. Its the last two years people are upset about. I don't like the trend. As a HUGE Miles fan you should be concerned as well.

That's the plan. Miles' supporters will still make up excuses for him as well. It will be same shite again next year.

Championships are the pretty girl at the end of the bar. It's always your goal but you can't get depressed every time you don't leave with her every time you go out.

Yep. This is it for Miles. This is his chance to shut everyone up who says he's not good enough, who says his first three years were because of "Saban's Players", who says he will never beat Bama and Florida ever again, who says he doesn't give a shite anymore, etc...
This is the year he needs to shut them all up. Myself included

Wow, you must have been in fan heaven in the early 90s...that is if you were even around then.

Yeah, but when your retarded uncle and his cronies begin to keep you from ever getting to the bar to at least try to talk to that pretty girl, it is time to quit going out of the house with them.

i disagree. I think if Miles does not beat bama and go at least 9&3 with also a win in a bowl game, i think he is gone. With that said, i am not one to bash Miles at this time, only because i think the people that do or hurting our program. All the negative bs is read by others and maybe some recruits. The people doing this have so little impact on the hiring or firing of coaches but probably impacts morale more than anything. I will save my bashing after the season.

I was in the student section every game during my 10 year reign at LSU during the 90's thank you very much. I, unlike the rest of the doom-and-gloomers, have watched enough football over the years to realize teams can't win the NC every single year.

Les Miles being treated unfairly?

Not hating. Just stating facts.
You have yet to state a fact!

I suggest you stay home then. That "retarded uncle" has picked up a lot of hot women in his day (only TWO damn seasons ago). How soon we forget?

its gotten to where i cant stand to listen to or watch any cfb show because i feel embarrassed about rooting for a team that is being led into battle by clm. if he is so damned good, how can he be on most pundits' hot seats, when he won 9 and played in a new yrs day bowl?

A 6 loss season this year, Miles will have few supporters. 4-5 losses, Crowton takes the fall.

I am with you there pal...I am not foolish enough to think that LSU will be regularly contending for NCs. However, I think LSU should be able to field a team that does not seem to be completely lost.
As an LSU fan, I am only looking for some consistency in play. Unfortunately, that is not something I believe this coaching staff can provide.

Yeah, but now he's gone senile and impotent, and all he does is go to the bar and get falling down drunk so you have to take care of him. It's time to say thanks for all the hot women, Uncle Les, but it's time to go to the nursing home.

When are you clowns going to understand that Coker was not allowed to recruit the thugs Davis recruited be cause Miami was so embarrassed by the behavior of their football players, they eliminated the recruitment of guys with character issues.
Miami also moved from Big Least to ACC during Coker's tenure.
Love how you idiots keep repeating the same crap.
