Our entire O line was legit, best WR group in the country, best RB in the country, Brandon Harris had the tools to be serviceable last year, best DB's, top LB, great DL. Special teams wasn't up to par. The talent is always there, but I feel its not being utilized. We should have been a 1 or 2 loss team IMO. I still have faith in Ole Les, but if we crap the bed next season, my opinion will change.

And then BH got hurt. No more calls that use his running ability. Defense has a bunch of injuries. shite happens.

Our entire O line was legit

We started two freshman on the OL this year, and when Hawkins went down with an injury, another freshman started against Ole Miss. Now, Teuhema, Clapp, and Weathersby were good, but they got abused by bigger, stronger, and more technically sound DLs on the back end of the season.

best WR group in the country

Nobody in their right mind would call Dural, Dupre, Quinn, Diarse, and Johnson the best WR corps in the country... the best WR corps in the country doesn't have games like they did against Eastern Michigan.

quote:

best RB in the country

Set an LSU single-season record by accumulating over 2000 total yards and 23 TDs while throwing defenders out of the way. Was the unanimous Heisman contender for most of the season.

quote:

Brandon Harris had the tools to be serviceable last year,

2100 yards 17 TDs and 6 INTs in 12 games. Had some games where he was on fire, had some games where he went cold. Typical sophomore season.

quote:

best DB's

Again, two freshman, Kevin Toliver and Donte Jackson started multiple games at CB, and nobody is nominating Rickey Jefferson or Dwayne Thomas for the Thorpe any time soon. We could have really used Jalen Collins or Rashard Robinson last year while these young guys were learning the scheme and missing coverage assignments.

quote:

top LB

We got very good linebacker play last year. Both Beckwith and Jones will be playing on Sundays in the near future. But outside of those two, the position was a liability, forcing us into a 4-2-5 against teams that we should have been able to run a 4-3 or even a 3-4.

quote:

great DL

No argument from me. Arden Key, Davon Godchaux, Christian Lacouture, and Lewis Neal are a great group.

quote:

Special teams wasn't up to par

Understatement of the century.

quote:

We should have been a 1 or 2 loss team IMO

Being a 1-loss team for this season was a very, very optimistic prediction. We should have been a 2-loss team, and had one game gone our way, we would have been. I think y'all just don't have enough respect for the personnel of other teams, or you way overvalue what we have.

As part of the Bama Forty, how many extra credits are they issuing you nowadays? It looks like Saban has upped the ante for you guys.

Nobody doubts Les' recruiting ability but we all know what he usually does with that talent.
. I think if he's going to tweak his philosophy just a hair this is the year.

Yeah we know what he does with the talent. He has the best tenure in lsu history and the 7th best win % in sec history and the #1 ooc win % in sec history.

I swear some of our football ignorant fans live in a fantasy world where Miles hasn't been the most successful coach in lsu history.

Yeah winning the toilet bowl against Texas Tech is quite an accomplishment after losing to Bama, Rkansas and Ole Piss.

The best coach of our generation ( Saban ) with the , by far, the most talent (4 of the last 5 years bama has had the #1class )loses to an inferior team EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Stop acting like Miles is the only coach to lose to teams he shouldn't lose too.

Let me guess. As a lsu fan that does nothing to make lsu's football program a better product, you deem a top 16 finish as unacceptable.

every year we get this great recruiting class ( so good we're NFLU) and end of next year we're playing in the toilet bowl.

God you're stupid. You can't be a lsu fan. A real lsu fan wouldn't shite on the best stretch of lsu football ever. Since 1965 lsu has 20 top 15 finishes. Miles has 7 of them.

So having the best win % in lsu history proves he doesn't orchestrates on the field well? You realize facts prove your opinion to be shite.

but judging from the production with the talent we have, I have every right to express my concerns.

You must be talking about the last 4 years because there is no way you can have concern over Miles' enitre tenure.
The last 4 years lsu is 2nd in the sec in wins. Also I love how all you idiots thunk lsu is just stacked with more talent than any program.
These are the last 4 recruiting classes. As you can see the gap between lsu and bama is bigger than the gap between lsu and Ole miss.

Yes. Getting buttfricked three games in a row was totally understandable, especially to teams that were punked out by Florida and Toledo.

Happens to the best of 'em.

Losing is one thing. Losing three in a row is an indicator. GETTING BUTTfrickED THREE GAMES IN A ROW is top level incompetence.

Brandon Allen and Chad Kelly were two of the top quarterbacks in the country this year and Arkansas and Ole Miss were two of the top offenses in the country this year. Ole Miss had one of the better defenses in the country, as well, and won the Sugar Bowl by four touchdowns.

Those were good teams, despite what you choose to believe.

it's all about the scheme isn't it?
