I know I many be going against the grain today, but Les Miles is a good coach who made some mistakes in the Ole Miss game.

He's done a great job recruiting and getting our players educated. I truly believe he should be given a chance to correct his mistakes if for no other reason than his loyalty in 2007.

He is an honorable man who should be given the same chance that any of us would want in the same position. He doesn't embarrass the university or his players. He's never been abrasive or condescending to the press, to his players or to the public.

Just my humble thoughts.

Believe me it could be much worse.

Judging from this board, one could also say that Coach Miles is a worse coach than many people think.

This wasn't the first time.

At one point it he video, Miles asks a state trooper of he has any time outs left.

Everyone should honor the seniors and then leave the stadium before the horror starts.

Not going to argue with you, but definitely question you on the condescending part to the public. Please go to Gonzales and ask members of the Gonzales gridiron club how he dissed the secretary of the club when she presented him with a birthday cake for his birthday in front of all the members. He just stood there looking at her as if she was an idiot and never even acknowledged her. Finally she slipped back to her seat. Later , fianally Miles responded that his birthday is a private thing and he only celebrates with his family. Okay that's fine , but at least any one with any common descency would have at least acknowledged the young lady and thanked them for the cake. So to tell you the truth that is very condescending to the public. No link , just ask anyone in the Gonzales Grid Iron club, Happened last year in Gonzales, La

Won't argue that he is a great person, but if you want to talk about him being a decent coach, you can take another sip.

im not saying something similar didnt happen

what i am saying is that i doubt it is as you have described

its like the telephone game, the story gets more and more interesting person to person

btw, my father in law exaggerates alot too. you dont have to believe EVERY part of their stories

Agree that stories may get exaggerated sometimes, but from all indications that is what went down. Maybe not, I'm just saying what I was told, certainly I was not there when it happened. Not saying Miles is not a nice guy, just saying if it was anything close to this then he could have a little more respect for someone trying to acknowledge his birthday. Also, I apologize to original poster, didnt mean to hijack his post.
