Les best coaching was the 2005 team after Katrina. Most teams would have packed it in.

I never respected him from the first game against Tennessee. We had a big half-time lead and he sat on the ball until they caught, tied, then beat us.

This!!!! After Katrina!!!

People like to whitewash his memory. He was a fricking dolt. Still is.

Sure hope you don't credit Saban for 2007 then

I wouldn’t say I “credit Saban” for a season he didn’t coach, but it’s undeniable CEO vs Les were inserted at two very different points in program trajectory at LSU.

Ppl can say what they want about ‘07, but his teams were still fun to watch back then. Next year marked the beginning of the frustration.

I realize ‘11 was an incredible year, but his legacy for those who stuck around will always be marred by underachievement and disappointment as a result of stubbornness — when even my grandma knew what needed to change on offense.

Les was a good coach he had too many people trying to ruin his recruiting efforts and then complaining about the recruits going to bama and the five stars that left the state !

Teams that block and tackle best are still the winners and Les stopped taking chances because his teams was out playing the other teams , chances are for teams that cant match up in overtime !

He thought he could wear those cool headsets with one small earpiece, too, but Tiger Stadium and an SEC opponent put that to rest. Coming from Okie (let 'er rip) State was no match for the noise he was introduced to, which is probably what caused him to bend down and eat some grass.
