Do you think even Michigan would take him at this point?

i'd be happy for les if he got the michigan job. thats his alma mater and dream job, im sure. besides, his offensive scheme seems to be more alligned with the big 10..

the type of program he'd build is more aligned to the big10

i think he'd be different enough to give UM some edges, namely in recruiting

Really... hmm. Well I sincerely hope that happens. But I doubt it.

who else is UM going to go after?

1. ferentz (who already told them no)
2. ??????

harbaugh and kelly are not "michigan men," in form or substance. neither fit the UM mold and neither are from the Bo-tree

they're both firey, offensive-minded, and follow the pattern of rich rod

Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

I figured Harbaugh would be a top notch choice since he's a michigan grad.

harbaugh doesn't fit the mold (firey guy) AND he talked shite about UM in public a few years ago

harbaugh has burned all of his bridges

and let's remember they hired rich rod to depart from the "michigan man" style, and it's failed. no way they hire another guy who will be a break from the UM mold. they're going to go back to their style of coach

yeah, I thought maybe him talking shite would do it. but i guess he's not the "quiet family man" they like. hadn't thought about that.

forget it Miles isn't going anywhere. lets get some new blood in the offense. we havdon"y tremendous offensive talent coming back. JJ is is improving and would have been the diffence yesterday in keeping drives alive with his feet
if healthy.

The impact of this on Miles can't be discounted.

they'll get rid of him for issues off the field as much as their play on the field

their offense is good. it's the D that is dogshit

if miles is no option, who else are they goin to hire? honestly, i don't see any candidates

well, it is michigan. pretty prestigious job. they may have to go outside of their "michigan" bubble, but i'm sure someone.

a guy like chris petersen seems like a good fit. good offense, young and up and coming and more of a quiet family type.

the thing about UM is that it's behind OSU is nearly every facet of the game

it will take a miracle for UM to beat OSU

a guy like rich rod could do it by breaking the mold

i mean you know that the big10 has an unwritten rule not to recruit guys committed to other big10 schools? how ridiculous is that?

if UM hires a guy to uphold these "honorable" traditions, they will never catch up

DJ Mccarthy was a solid recruiting option to replace monken, however he's a horrible coach and needs to learn how to follow rules better.

IMO, this is the silver bullet to saving LSU a great deal of money in a buyout. Tell him he is owed a donut and then let the courts or a mediator decide.

but when he adn his coaches have time, they're lights out. i have to give props for that

it shows they CAN do it

True, but I'd argue LSU got EXTREMELY favorable matchups in all of those cases. A Miami team that quit on its coach during the game, a ND team that had no business being in that game, and OSU/GT teams that matched up terribly against us. Admittedly none of that is Miles fault, but I still think that UO team with a healthy Dixon beats us in 07.
