He played equally as bad against Tulane, which tells me that regardless of competition, he's just not very good.

True..but what freshman plays lights out..picture-perfect games against every opponent? yes tulane blows & if lee was a soph. right now id have a helluva lot less tolerance for him playing like that..again..think what peyton manning did as a freshman..

I'd be asking to see what Lee could do. It's not some out of this world idea to want to look at another QB when the current one is so poor.

True..im just trying to call out the people saying he's so much BETTER than lee..i mean yeah, i guess if he's only handed the ball off, therefore thrown no picks, that qualifies him as better? I think Jefferson DEFINETELY needs his shot..weve already seen that Lee is playing like a freshman & has problems, but those can be fixed over time..i agree though..Jefferson needs his shot..i hope he puts up 10 TD's against Troy

Agree, except Bama is a game we should've won. That's the first game that Lee REALLY cost us. Single handedly, he lost it.

I don't think anyone could deny that

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, I don't think anyone booed him Saturday. He got cheers during the opening lineups and wasn't even really booed after terrible throws. He will get booed against Troy though, sadly.

No, he got booed..i heard him get the cheers at first, and that was cool..but i was sitting on the lower east side at about the 30 yard line, and the student section booed him after his first pick...not too loud..but you could definetely hear it..

Because he's white, eh? Dude has a Marcus Randall arm and brain without the mobility. Good thing is, Marcus was a senior, so hopefully Lee will improve.

Yeah, man, Yeah..because he's white..lol..and yes he's got TONS of time to improve..i hope he does by next year, cause i think we can beat bama @ home without them having a legit starting QB..

won't, but I will say this, Lee does not give us an opportunity to win right now. All a QB has to do when push comes to shove, is manage the football game. Jarrett Lee does not manage the game at this point in the season. He may one day, but he doesn't right now. We didn't need Tim Tebow to beat Bama this weekend, but we did need someone to keep the mistakes and positives even. He didn't. His mistakes greatly dwarfed his positives, which is why we lost.

Exactly why my argument isn't that he is the person we need right now..hell..casey dick would have been better but he's not our qb..my point is that people should at least slightly support him..and quit saying that he sucks, needs to transfer, etc..

i mean, shite, this guy is a redshirt freshman trying to lead the defending national champs against top teams with 92,000+ looking on? i'd be a little over-anxious too..just give the guy a break, at least until we can see him play next year or so..& good luck jordan!

Compared to Stafford's freshman year, Lee is positively stellar. I don't know what people were expecting after he sucked arse against Appy State and North Texas and the first half of Auburn. He's gotten better, but not that much better. So what?

He might be slighter worse than Chris Leak in 2003, but really, what other freshman QB has come in and started in the SEC and lit the world on fire? Josh Booty?

Tommy Hodson was the best freshman QB ever in the SEC, and there will probably never be another one like him. Let's be happy with what we've got--which is a QB who just might throw for more yards than any other freshman in LSU history.

the game is a blur to him right now, but that will get better

even with the game way too fast, he is still making plays. the TD to Byrd was as great a pass as we have seen since JRuss left

my complaint is why did we throw it 34 times?

that confuses me also..seeing that we were tearing it up on the ground & pushing Ham Cody all around the feild in the first half

Is everyone going to defend this guy once he's a so, jr, sr? I understand we played a good defense, but even against tulane he showed no signs of improvement. This guy is done. He's a mental midget and won't rebound. Guess we'll go through this again next season with a true freshman starting at qb.

Done, huh? So what the hell did you expect when you heard a RS freshman would be starting? picture-perfect numbers & another NC so you can sleep better at night?

You are the reason the term "rantard" has become a household name

really? seems to me he is a tough, resilient kid that has stood up, taken his beating and not complained about anything

everybody wants to play, but do you think that kid wanted to be thrown into the deep end like he has been this year? the fact that he faces the media, doesnt criticize his team mates, doesnt get down on himslef and just takes everything that everyone dishes out says a lot about the kid

we are 6-3, give the kid a fricking break

(All of the Lee Lovers) please let me know how many losses and near losses that this one player will cause are to be allowed because he is a freshman????

He Lost:
1. Bama
2. Georgia (His picks cost us 14 or 17 points and we lost by 14)

Near loss or had to overcome his mistake
3. South Carolina
4. Auburn

Set a NCAA record for pick sixes

HOW MUCH MORE DO I HAVE TO TAKE?? PLEASE TELL ME??

I'm telling everybody, the guy understands how to play QB. He's just trying to make too many plays that his physical f'd-up mechanics don't allow him to make all the time.

Audibles? Perfect.

Fakes? Great.

Passing decisions? Very good.

Staring down receivers and throwing a football like a dart? He needs some serious work.

since you and I don't get to decide, why worry about it?

if you trust Miles, and Miles says JJ isn't ready, THEN JJ ISN'T READY

jesus christ we just won a national championship, chill the frick out man

I can't wait to see UGA and BAMA next year when they are breaking in a new QB. Do you think Tubby would take Lee at Auburn or PhatPhil would take Lee at Tenn right now? I bet they would.
