If you can work in the terms "White Bronco", "grassy knoll" and "Zionist usurpers" into the OP- I'm all in.

Actually this isn't the first time I heard this. My father is friends with an ex-walk (last year) ons father. He actually told him pretty much this exact same thing and that it was Lee's dad's decision. No I am not flaming so take it for what its worth. This is just what my dad told me and he has no reason to make shite up

Sorry to inform you, but based on the preponderance of the responses to this thread, your Dad, you and your Dad's friend are all idiots.

There is only one theory acceptable to this board, and it will be repeatedly stated WITHOUT recognition of the 4th QTR of the game. That explanation is "Miles just thought Jefferson was better and thought JJ gave us the best chance to win". However, these same folks will fail to recognize that that is not being refuted by the OP in this thread anywhere, and the reason for the universal interest in this subject is in wonder as to how Miles maintained that thought even when the rest of the entire football world thought it to be completely and utterly asinine - that being in the second half, specifically the 4th QTR, of the BCSNCG.

That is their thinking. Nothing else but that.

If that is the case, then Miles is a very poor decision maker on the biggest stage possible and that is the end of the story. They are ok with that explanation of the travesty.

On the other hand, I was searching for some way for Miles to have done something admirable and explainable so as to refute such a disgusting thought.

For that, the insults are the rebuttal offered by many.

So does that mean you will not be working the term "white Bronco" into your theory ?

and this is how rumors get started. I would hate to think a RS Senior QB is driving down to Florida to get some cuddy from Les Miles underaged daughter.

Nothing. Please just accept the fact that the back up QB returned to being the back up QB when the 3 year starter returned.

You heavily overstate the position of starter with these two QB's. It was a two QB system for the most part of two years.

So Miles put one player ahead of the football program? Miles is that stubborn.

I don't think the theory really holds water only because it seems that Lee was involved in practice and preparation for all of these games, and actually felt he was going to play. For that theory to be true, he should have not been deeply involved in preparing for the games.

Occam's razor, also known as Ockham's razor, and sometimes expressed in Latin as lex parsimoniae (the law of parsimony, economy or succinctness), is a principle that generally recommends that, from among competing hypotheses, selecting the one that makes the fewest new assumptions usually provides the correct one, and that the simplest explanation will be the most plausible until evidence is presented to prove it false.

Coach liked the kid (JJ) for some reason and went with him. The odds that Team Lee wanted to sit out after all that occurred to him during his career is counter intuitive.

And if Lee wasn't going to play, who was the replacement?

Jarrett Lee put some check marks in the WIN column
