I'm not much into conspiracy theories, but this is the most reasonable/believable one that I've read on here.

Or maybe he was holding JJ down while T-Bob beat him up in the locker room.

Secondly, if Lee's grades where bad, and he shite the bed like your theory states and this "convo between Les and Father happened" then why continue to allow Lee to practice, attend team meetings, etc. A game last 3 hrs on a saturday. Preparation lasts 20+ hrs during the week. So which do you think has a more ill effect on grades? Dumbass. After Lee shite the ned against Bama, the staff didn't trust in him to play well anymore, hence why his PT dwindled to taking knees. Why didn't Lee play in the title game. Because the game wasn't out of hand until 21-0 in the last 3 mins. Before that, we were one big play away from coming back ala Arky and UGA, and in the first game Lee proved he couldn't handle Bama's "NFL like defense". Its as fricking simple as that. I guess since your locker room fight theory proved false, this is what you're attempting to hang your hat on.
Seriously. Quit diverting. You may not agree with it, but do you even understand the concept of logic? It is spot on logical. If not, quit hiding behind insults and provide where it is not logical, and what you think logic is.

lulz. Did you watch Ark, UGA and Bama-2?
never look back implies he did something of merit after he made the decision. Keep defending, but 25 total net yds of offense in the SECCG is atrocious.

Jefferson has 261 yards of total offense against Arky dumbass. 208 thru the air, 53 on the ground. 2 total TD's

You obvious do not understand the concept of logic. And, I find it hard that you truly believe this..."Because the game wasn't out of hand until 21-0 in the last 3 mins."...

Do we need to go over his abysmal UA stats too?

JJ thought it did, when he "put the team on his back" and carried them to victory in the first Ala game.
25 total yds of offense in the SECCG.
TWENTY FIVE

15-0 is a two possesion game. A big play by the defense or special teams and we're right back in it. That's not an insurmountable lead.

Then why do you keep saying JLee "shite the bed" against Bama? Yet JJ didn't?
Gotta hand it to 7th Ward ... despite the horrendous play by JJ in the last two games, he hasn't waivered in his arguments.

you do realize you aren't supposed to count on them to score, right?
and you're supposed to be a GA under Miles...good grief.

Yet the offense scored 35 pts and the Tigers scored 42 points and won. The TIGERS. Not JJ, not JLee, the TIGERS. Do you understand that there is more than 1 player on the field at one time.

If Lee had grade issues that came as a result of his poor reaction to the Bama-01 game, meaning he did miss significant classes and exhibited immature behavior not becoming of a 5th year Sr leader &/or had a form of a mental shutdown threatening his eligibility and academic performance.....
Then, what are the chances that CLM and Lee's father spent some time discussing this between Bama-01 and his reported/assumed eligibility restoration, and came up withe the following joint decision?
- Bench Lee to allow him to focus on his academics so that he could retain eligibility (and possibly to graduate as planned in Dec which may be the case).
- Do not play Lee in anything of significance thereafter, especially against Bama in the BCSNCG for risk of him performing poorly against Saban's NFL-like defense yet again, which could reduce his already slim chances of getting drafted to zero.
- Upon Lee's completion of his Fall semester and LSU season, get Lee working 100% on his dream of impressing in a different uniform where he could have a fresh start with no risk of seeing him on the biggest stage with everyone watching do poorly again. No more film of Lee versus Bama would be possible. Bama-01 chalked up as just a bad game.
- Give Lee a talk and encourage him to put the past behind him in his public statements to show he can take the high road, giving his public image and NFL application a boost. Lee really does seem to love LSU, so this also softens the blow to the LSU nation and CLM (as opposed to speaking out negatively about them both), and speaks of his character and willingness to be the ultimate team player - to send a message to NFL scouts.
If this was the agreement, then Miles surely could not say so in the public so as to retain the agreement with Lee's father. He would not mention the grades, he would not mention Lee being unable to manage himself maturely in the weeks after 11/5, and he would not play Lee in honor of the agreement. He would not before the game or aftet the game. He probably would not tell the team, as that would make it a certainty that some player would leak it. This allows Lee to have ended the season with one of the best QB ratings in the SEC at 152 and an 8-1 record as a starter (and 8-0 for games mostly played), to get new coaching in the All Star game in Tuscon, to get a fresh start, to get his grades/degree, and to show his wonderful character.
I know this is hard to believe, but we are talking about a highly unusual situation and about CLM, so it calls for a highly unusual theory. This all adds up.
This would then be the story of Lee's Sr year...He completed 104 of 167 passes for 1,306 yards this season with an 8-0 record for his primary games played. Lee threw for 14 touchdowns with just 3 INT's, finishing with a QB record of 152.
So you start with the possibility that Lee had a breakdown due to the first Alabama game. This in turn led to grade issues.
Then Les and Lee's father discussed the game and decided to bench Lee for his own good his senior year of college football and he would be given no more time to play in order to help his draft stock.
Then collude with Lee so that everything seems fine and peachy.
So in your theory, we have to assume that:
1.Lee waa shaken up by the Alabama loss.
2.That he missed tons of classe and had large grade issues.
3.That Lee/Lee's father and Miles came up with a plan to bench Lee.
4.That Les is fine with losing just to help Lee's potential draft standing.
5.That Lee and Les could keep it a secret (when they apparently couldn't keep his grade situation a secret [which was a violation of federal law]).
Isn't it simpler and more believable that Les didn't like Lee's attitude/or liked Jefferson's running ability and made him the starter again? Doesn't it also seem more logical that gambling Les simply decided that the chance to win rested on the option and that it would eventually work so Jefferson was the one he wanted in there?
