I still bet we are closer to capacity than you guys (or as a percentage of capacity since you have more seats) year in and year out.

WRONG! According to the latest NCAA statistics (2007 season), Auburn only had 96.84% attendance. LSU had 100.24% attendance. That is pitiful for Auburn. That is the lowest attendance pencentage in the top 17 accumulated attendance poll. In the SEC, you are no better than 7 other teams. That includes Kentucky and South Carolina.

We probably need to expand more than you, but we are building a new basketball arena and athlete housing now.

WRONG again! Based on statistics, Tennesse, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina and LSU need to expand before Auburn.

It must sting Auburn fans that Alabama expanded past Auburn and still has demand for another expansion, while Auburn hasn't had a significant expansion in over 20 years. Even LSU has built a totally new upper deck and rebuilt another in the last 8 years.

Now, those ARE the facts!!!!

You guys are about like us. You do not expand when you are only pulling in about 75k against cupcakes. At the end of the year this year (even year) look at the actual attendance and consider whether expansion is a pressing issue.

Last year LSU sold out every single game inculding all games against cup cakes. Look for them to do the same this year. So I guess we aren't like you Auburn.

Tiger Stadium holds 92,400.

2007 LSU averaged 92,619 fans a game which is filling Tiger Stadium at 100.24%

In 2007 Auburn filled their stadium 96%.

Try actually looking up facts before you speak.

well texas renovated, we are trying to repair, this may not happen for a while. but if they make money, even from the cupcake games, they can add a few more seats for even more money. it is strictly business.

UT recently completed a renovation / expansion to the north end of their stadium. It now officially seats 94,113, but with temporary seating in the south end under the Godzilla Tron screen it seats over 98,000.

Honestly, I think some other mid-major sports will get facelifts/new facilities before a new upper deck is added.

Just think we built the 2nd upper deck during a decade of really bad football with a couple of average seasons.

The 90's weren't a glamorous decade for us and we opened our East Upper in the fall of 2000, following a 4-7 and 3-8 seasons.

I can't say when or how they plan to expand but I do know they do plan to expand. The company I work for helped expand the stadium the last 2 times and I know they we're talking (TAF) of doing both end zones in the future. They were talking about around 115,000 seats when completed. LSU knows that football is where there money is to make all the athletic venues tops in the country. When you have the best facilities than you can have good recruiting classes. That's the reasoning behind all the sporting facilities getting upgrades.

You guys are funny. Thanks for the facts.

I still think you suck and your fans are pathetic with no loyalty or passion. Tiger stadium sounds like communion at church. If you guys would make some noise your team might do better.

(there that should churn out a good 3 pages of Auburn insults)...

The fact is Auburn may need to look into reducing the size of Jordan-Hare. I would suggest starting by getting rid of this erector set endzone.

I posted this information back in the spring time. LSU is in the stages of planning of how the expansion will go for the South Endzone. A new scoreboard and Video replay screen will be installed in the North Endzone where the exsisting one is right now. The same thing will be installed in the South Endzone as well once they decided what type of expansion they will do. LSU will eventually decide if they want to just put suits and more premium seating up in the south end or if they will just put an Upper Deck to close in the West and East or do both. Thats the issue they are reviewing right now.

A new sound and PA system will be installed in Tiger Stadium next year if it wasen't for this year. I don't know if it was yet because I wasen't at the App state game.

The latest rumor is that the Bryant-Denny's North Endzone expansion will be announced sometime during this season, with construction beginning soon after the Iron Bowl. They'd like to have it done for the 2010 season when Bama opens with Penn State in T-Town.
