BTW, yes you do care about LSU or you wouldn't have come here trying to let everyone know (trust me most of us had no clue...frick I don't even know LSU's basketball record). Fact Louisiana Tech University at Ruston treats LSU games as their championships...thats all they play for, well and the Chinawok Fortune Cookie Bowl.

yeah yeah, they are going to switch systems completely. The state likes having a tier 1 flagship. Trust me, LSU and Louisiana does what is best for LSU.

Well since I went there, YES I say it is. In general, I think it's an excellent place to get a public university education and do great research at. However, every school has its strengths, so what I studied may be better at Tech and what someone else studied may be better at LSU. Just 'cause LSU has a bunch of money dumped on it by the state and it has been riding the momentum that the state government's support originally gave it, doesn't make it the de facto best. For instance, you'd be crazy to go for Liberal Arts except for music at Tech over LSU, and you'd be un-wise to go to Tech OR LSU for computer science over ULL. You might have other factors that contribute to school choice obviously, but programs such as those are each individually different.

I don't think this is the academics board I think this is the sports board
