Auburn on the Plains in 1970 should be considered one of the all-time hige upsets for LSU.

Just because the 1997 game was a better experience for you, doesn’t mean it was a bigger upset. It was hardly revolutionary considering we went on to lose the next week.
Beating the #1 team is absolutely significant. But when you are ranked #14 playing at home, it’s hardly as big an upset as an unranked team with losing record that just got destroyed by Alabama, winning on the road against a top 10 team.

IMO, the team was talented enough to be ranked last year. We just had poor coaching. And in 1997, it was against a powerhouse. Florida was good last year, but hardly a powerhouse.
