Rohan-came after the loathsome Booty,a record setting offense and the eternal question of "if we had a playoff system, how far could the 01 team go?"

Maybe his freshman year, but not after that. Hodson is LSU's best quarterback ever.

I can remember him being booed in the famous Earthquake game in '88 (before the drive of course) and at various times early in '99.

Of course after Guidry graduated there was really no capable back-up to clamor for as was evidenced by the folks who took the reigns the year after Tommy took over.

Now none of that should detract from his legacy. He certainly should be considered one of the best ever here.

They would have been a pain in the arse for Miami that year. IMO I think they would have beat them.

I cant personally think of anyone who disliked having Rohan in there. He was a great tiger.

Flynn were booed in Tiger Stadium

I can't really remember Flynn being booed as a starter, maybe it's just that there wasn't much of it around me.

yeah he was probably the last one really, in terms of overall fan support; unless we go back pretty deep.

its the QB brah, everyone always knows, the best QB is always the backup..and if the backup screws up, blame it on the coaches for not developing them correctly.

this is pretty much the same for every team

Im suprised no one has mentioned JRussell of 2006. I remember everybody was begging that he would skip the draft and come back to LSU. Mainly because everybody thought there was no way we could do anything with Flynn as our QB. And I think that if Russel was raping the NFL like everyone thought he would, more people would have said his name in this thread.

Russell took some hits after that atrocious Auburn game in 2006. By the end of 2006, he was loved, of course. And you are correct about the fact that Russell suffers from his NFL career. There's a reason he went #1 overall.

yeah, he was on fire coming down the stretch, but some ppl were pissed with him around midseason (think AU and UF). he wasn't really loved universally til late.

not really, we knew he had talent. hell even the polls had us #2 or so going into 07.
