I can't remember the RB that Bama had before Ingram but he only lasted two seasons with San Francisco. All the wear and tear catches up with you.

Glenn Coffee and I believe he retired due to personal reasons, not injury. Am I right?

Yeah, Bama had two RBs go in the first round but look at all the banging they had to do to get there

some of you are sounding as dellusional as many Bama fans. There are been plenty of RB's that got a lot of "wear and tear" in college that had long and or successful NFL careers. Yeah, Kevin Faulk has been in the league a long time and didn't get as many carries, (he did have a ton of carries in college), but since's he's been a nothing but a role player, he hasn't gotten the big contracts that feature backs get.

Its a good selling tool for LSU and it has some merit, but being a 1st round pick has merti also. making way more money >>> than being a 4th round pick, its not like college backs getting more use are all out of the league in 3 years and others are sticking around for 15 plus. Guys drafted in later rounds will have to become stars and get their 2nd contract to make the kind of money TR is making in his first and its not like he for sure won't get that 2nd contract either.
Peterson was hurt 2 of 3 years in college and got used a lot, did it hurt his pro production or shorten his career? No and he's probably made way more money than Hester and Adadi.

Fournette has Bama ahead of LSU

Don't believe the crap the Bama tards say. According to them, they lead for everyone. Fournette skipped Bama's camp in July (and was reportedly spoted on their campus ) while he was at LSU's camp.

Lattimore is a great example. By the time South Carolina plays us he will be worn down unless they find another back to share the carries

Even the NFL realizes the need for multiple RBs.

That's also partly a cost savings move by NFL teams. It goes in cycles.

. Faulk was STILL in the league up to last year.

Not just in the league, but with the team that drafted him through the only dynasty the NFL had since the early 90's Cowboys

LSU has never had trouble getting RBs so it makes sense to use them all and keep legs fresh. I really don't think many players care about the heisman; they care about the nfl.
