With the QB’s coming down the pipe, Lane could do great here. I still want to see what this OM team does throughout the season but if it doesn’t work out with O he should be on the list. I think it would be a pretty dangerous combo.

I'd take James Franklin right now.

If it's any indication on how things are going, people are simping for Les. Including me... Yeah things aren't great.

Would like to hear opinions from downvoters on why they think it’s not a good fit? Genuinely interested in your thoughts on this….it’s impressive imo what he has done at his last two schools. Saban rehabilitation center seems to have worked for him, we will see if it works for Sark lol.

Lane is a great coach but a terrible hire. Bolts programs due to his grass is greener on the other side syndrome.

O is proving that he could never have a decade of sustained success like Les had, and Miles was very clearly flawed to put it mildly. Let that sink in

Kiffin would be a monster here imo, but I don't think Woodward would go that route as a first choice.

I mean, I'd take Lane. He'd come here and frick up but at least do it with some style. We'd probably go .500 against Bama and get back to 9-3/10-2 seasons with good bowl games and a shot at a NC. Hell, I'd take it. Why not?

Unlike these morons that are running us into the dirt, Lane Kiffin knows football.

True, but does the grass really get any greener than LSU in college football? The last three coaches had national championships here, and with Coach O being able to put together the greatest team of all time, one of Lane’s closest buddies, he has got to be slobbering at the idea of possibly coming here. It would be great to see the melt by Ole Miss fans as well

I didn't upvote or downvote, I just don't think Lane would come here. I don't necessarily get the feeling that the dude is hungry for championships. He's at a decent school in the SEC without the expectations of LSU.

It's a definite jump up as far as the job goes, but I just don't see him leaving Ole Miss for another SEC program. I guess unless Alabama came calling when Saban leaves.

Yeah, Lamo can hire Ed back as DL coach, buy a few mattresses as well.

He's not a good coach. He laundered his rep at Bama.

Why do you think he’s not a good coach? So far he has done great at his last three stops. Are you still basing it off of the Raiders/Tennessee/USC fiascoes?

I'm just saying what gives you the sense that the dude is serious about perfecting his craft? He spends too much time playing on Twitter and trolling folks. Ole Miss is the perfect job for him.. win enough games to keep the boosters happy, slay poon, exceed moderate expectations.

Coming to LSU is a whole different story. He's probably having fun at Ole Miss.. I don't know that he'd have fun at LSU if. Especially at the first sign of adversity.

Just my two cents. I'd take him over a lot of the coaches out there - I just don't think it would ever happen.

Maybe that is the point, Lamo hires Ed to come back as DL coach. When Lamo gets fired in a few years, Ed can take over as head coach. (throw in a few burning mattresses, just like old times)

(btw, up voted your post)
