Always thought that Pat Summit and Bobby Knight would have made great coaches if only they were people persons. Too bad.

Hiring coaches is such a crap shoot. You can hire that up and coming and end up with Billy Donovan. But how many of those type of young brash coaches who look good in a suit have ended up less successful when jumping to the bigger conferences. Nikki Fargas was a cut above that when LSU hired her, already successful in a major conference with a Tennessee pedigree. She would have been a strong contender to replace Pat Summit if Holly Warlick was not on their staff.

Nikki will probably get at least another year to get back to top 4 SEC and top 10 to 15 nationally.
