OROY & DROY plus NFC South champs and 6 Pro Bowlers. The Saints are doing fine without the LSU players.

There are many people here in Louisiana that are LSU fans but not Saints fans. So just from a fan base/ PR perspective it would be to their good to have LSU players on their roster. I remember back in the day when they had Dalton Hilliard and Eric Martin and seems to me that everyone in the state were big Saints fans !!!

The only really outrageous omission is not taking Lael Collins in the 6th or 7th
Or Landry. They drafted that QB that never played a down if I'm not mistaken. If not him, was still someone that never played.

when those Buckeyes start playing terribly then I'll start complaining
Sean himself mentioned they were sucking in the draft. Just because they finally did well this past draft does not excuse the years of drafting so poorly, esp when now very successful NFL players were on the board and only an hour down the street from them.

I never allowed myself to believe it was a blatant practice... then they passed on Juice.

Ole Benson hates LSU after the fans railed his arse for wanting to move the team

The Saints just won the division. I don't think drafting LSU is an issue.

fricking Christ! You take the best player on the board period, you don't be a homer and pick LSU players. Its a business and you're not doing your job if you're a homer for a school.
This guys gets it.

maybe they think Louisiana players can't do as well so close to their posse
Or maybe they fill the needs of the team and take the best player at a position of need when it's their time to pick. Nobody was going to use 1st or 2nd round picks on Kwon in the draft. In the 3rd round that year there the Saints picked up P.J. Williams who plays a lot in the secondary and Garret Grayson a QB from Colorado State that they hoped would work out eventually but it didn't and they cut him last year. That's the only pick where Kwon could've been taken but the Saints decided that they wanted to use their pick to find a backup for Brees. It's not like they're just shunning LSU players. If someone from LSU ends up being the best player available in a position of need they will take him.

No it isn’t their only LSU omission...they passed on Jarvis Landry when they desperately needed a wideout
The saints drafted Brandin Cooks in the first round of that draft... they didn't desperately need another wide receiver with their 2nd round pick. Some of y'all are fricking mental.

They haven't done that very well the last 8 years. Last year was a luck of the draw. Sean Payton fricking hates LSU. Mickey Loomis hates LSU more cause half the football team in the 90's banged his wife

Get a life! Why should they draft LSU players?

bama pajama payton got into it with myles after the super bowl and natty... payton has been jealous ever since of lsu. Tigers have more players in the nfl than anybody else (50). saints don't want none cause they scared, cause they don't really want none. SCREW payton, the saints and the nfl. bring back the usfl and the new Orleans breakers.
pray for eric martin, he's not well.

Yeah it is like playing blackjack and losing 10 hands in a row, then finally winning a hand, and dealer says see, I AM a good dealer. Wrong, you just beat the shite out of me and one hand doesn't change that.

You don't get to pick where you are drafted, this isn't college recruiting.

Payton must not like LSU. That's speculative though. They have had their chances to take an LSU guy but passed. Payton needs to understand that many, many Saints season ticket holders are LSU fans to.

If that were the case they would have selected several LSU players over the last 10 years.
