Don't forget the changes since the 90s that has had a great affect on college baseball. Mason Katz probably hits 20 HRs with a minus 5 bat and the old balls.

Furniss a close 2nd

I'm having a hard time agreeing with this. The guy set an NCAA RBI record in 1996 (lasted one season). Mashed about 22 home runs while hitting .400. Furniss was a beast.

Bertman also had an unlimited roster and he could bring guys in that are now ending up at smaller schools just to keep them on the bench.
Now with 35 man roster any misses are magnified

Comparing players now to mid 90's is not fair. Completely different game with the bats and players. Bregman is the top college MI prospect in college baseball. He would absolutely start back in the 90s. Give him one those glorified fungo bats and he hits .470

Without question! I just gave an order on my experience. Both were absolutely terrifying to pitch to those two years.

Baseball is a team sport where every now and then the smaller schools can get their shot in on the big boys . Everything can go right for them on a given day . It happens , has happened, will happen...........

Furniss, as great as they were in college couldn't sniff the MLB

In Eddy's defense, playing in the MLB was not as important to him because of his ultimate goal to pursue a medical career.
