re: Kirk herbstreit has Texas in the playoffs

Going with the home team in a game featuring two fairly evenly matched non-conference teams isn’t exactly a hot take.

I’d love it if we beat them decisively, but my gut feeling is that this game will play out like most LSU-Florida games since the early 2000’s.

I expect it to be close, and wouldn’t be surprised if 1-4 plays decide the game.

I would legitimately be surprised if this plays out like LSU-Miami, LSU-WVU or LSU-Oregon.

I think LSU-ASU or LSU-Wisconsin (either game) are better comparisons to how I expect this one to play out.

I rarely make predictions, and hope I’m wrong and LSU blows the doors off of them.

I’d be more confident if this was a week 1 matchup as opposed to week 2.

RIP Texas, glad he didn’t pick us..
