GW was preparing for Detroit...He did not have time to watch film and help gameplan against LSU...Thats ridiculous.....He may have watched them practice one day and offered some contructive criticism, but no more than that

. Since Saban and Williams have a history, what makes you think this isn't true, plus the quote didn't say when this occurred. Alabama had approx 6 weeks to prepare for LSU. It could have happened any time during the 6 weeks.

This is not true. Hell it wasn't that many passes thrown in the game.

What does the ball being thrown have to do with receivers being open? This is JJ we're talking about, not Drew Brees.

this is fricking funny. With a defense like the saints have, how could this be true. I love the saints but our defense sucks

Read Sean Payton's book. Coaches talk all the time, there would be nothing unusual in this, and I'd harbor no resentment.

I think if you live in Louisiana and you take this action to help the opponent that is playing in the national championship game against the flagship university (LSU) could be perceived negatively. The proper step should be to stay out of the fight.

You beat me to the punch with exactly the same sentiment. I too love watching the Saints, but obviously defense isn't their strong suit. I laughed when I first read this.....

Of course they do. Hell, even entire college coaching staff's go to other college's spring practices at times (obviously those that don't play each other in the regular season) to learn more about about a particular offensive or defensive scheme they think they would like to put in. This has transpired for years and anyone who truly knows anything about the game know this. Why would anyone find something like this so surprising????

our defense is pretty good for the offense we have. We've held most of our opponents under their average PPG and our 2nd out of the NFC playoff teams in ppg

We also led the NFL in turnovers in 09 and finished 3 or 4 in total defense in 2010

That is plausible. Nothing about that game makes any sense. None.

No one is to blame for that frick up of a game but Les Miles.

Period. He got out coached, and gave up on his team. There is no excuse for what happened and it needs no explanation. It happened and Les has a long road to travel before he once again gains the trust of some players and a large percentage of fans.

I hope he wins next year, and all this goes away

Greg will probably told him "You have NFL caliber Defense, they have a shakey qb. just blitz the FRICK out of them!"
