Read Sean Payton's book. Coaches talk all the time, there would be nothing unusual in this, and I'd harbor no resentment.

Of course they do. Hell, even entire college coaching staff's go to other college's spring practices at times (obviously those that don't play each other in the regular season) to learn more about about a particular offensive or defensive scheme they think they would like to put in. This has transpired for years and anyone who truly knows anything about the game know this. Why would anyone find something like this so surprising????

this is fricking funny. With a defense like the saints have, how could this be true. I love the saints but our defense sucks

You beat me to the punch with exactly the same sentiment. I too love watching the Saints, but obviously defense isn't their strong suit. I laughed when I first read this.....

P.S. Not so unlike a whole lot of posters on this site as well!!!!!

You're probably right, but I like our chances a whole lot. We'll be ready to play that's for sure and that's all we can ask for. Be ready; play with intensity (of which that is not a doubt)and play with the pride that the LSU embodies....we'll be just fine.

Pretty sure it was Hairston that was in the tagline of the original photo.........

Four things I have done as I have gotten older:

1) Don't watch "Gameday" on Saturday morning.
2) Don't listen to what the "experts" commentary is.
3) Stopped reading the New York Times.
4) Don't view any major networks news programs.

The world seems much better, and my life has gotten exponentially better!

Surely you're kidding. OSU hasn't had a test like an LSU defense, just like Oregon and its vaunted offense against us this year and Auburn last year. Plus, and the biggest plus of all, the "Chief" with 30 days to prepare---NO CONTEST!!!!

I'm getting tired of these idiots that keep pulling for LSU to lose.

I'm watching the same game; heard the same question, which was a perfectly legitimate "what if" question. How was that question "pulling for LSU to lose". The guy asked a perfectly legitimate question. He isn't the LSU Sports Information Director or PR man....I'm sure lot's of people of like college football simply ask "what would happen if"---if doesn't always mean they are "Tiger Haters"---give it a break!

Who is the number 3 team in the Nation? Who went to the BCS Sugar bowl last year? Who is 3 out of the last 4 against LSU? Who Who Who could that be?

And of all the BCS Championships won by the SEC in the last decade, precisely how many of those have the Hogs won??? Enough said....

This is 2011--not about anything BUT November 25, 2011.

Why do you continue to bring up Bama? We had 3 injuries and Tyler got hurt. Really if we played Bama today we would beat them by 2 TDs.

You aren't being serious are you? I'm not an emotional poster or basher like some people are on this board. I just take a reasonable approach to the game. You've got a real good football team; as matter of fact that I doubt Les or his team will take very likely. But, and it's a very big but, you didn't match up against Bama across the board, and you clearly don't' match up against LSU. Football is a game of match ups, not a few selected talented players; the Hogs don't come close to matching up with LSU across the board. I'll make a prediction and leave it at this: LSU will dominate the clock with it's more than adequate running game, and the ball will be in your offense's hands very little---it will be the total difference in the game.

I think you all will be surprised at our scoring abilities even against your defense.

Seriously doubt that; when you played the only defense that was even close to ours; and really the only decent defense you played this year in Alabama; you were completely shut down. Same thing will happen tomorrow....
Simply put; when you are the best, you want to play the best; whoever that team is!!!!!

Voters want to see something new....but if not, bring on Bama we will beat them again

Bottom line is when shouldn't be concerned with any of this. Isn't it great to finally be in a position to control our own destiny? As other posters have said "we just need to focus on three more games"---none of this other stuff matters.

Geaux Tigers!!!

Agreed. They didn't want a rematch of tOSU/Michigan in '06 after the two faced at the end of the regular season.

Irrespective to all of this, the BCS Championship game should be played between the two best teams in the country; and although I think it's unfair that Alabama gets in, I don't think there is any doubt as to who the two best teams in the country are---and that's us and Baba. The Gumps would dismantle Oregon just like we did....and I think most of us who are objective, like Bama or not, no this.
quote:

They'll also look at the wins each team has.. and Oregon has a road win vs Stanford

Don't disagree with that, but I still believe that they will put more emphasis on the fact that each team played LSU and the outcome of those games.

Oklahoma is out of the picture. They needed OSU to win tonight; this all but killed their chances...
quote:

I said before the Stanford game that Oregon has the best shot of the one-loss teams. I stand by that.

Alabama will be Number 2 come Sunday night; and since ESPN commentators don't have a say so in the BCS poll, Oregon will not jump Bama---conference championship or not. Voters will look at how those two teams played LSU head's up---plain and simple.
quote:

I really don't think the voters are gonna set it up for a rematch of us against Oregon or Bama. They'll jump Oklahoma over Bama and Oregon to make the matchup

I seriously doubt the votes will vote Oklahoma who got it's thoroughly drubbed by a Texas Tech team who has lost every game since, over an Alabama who lost to the Number One team in the country in overtime. Highly unlikely!!!

Miles will go with JJ for 90% of the snaps from this point out.

Yet one more "clueless" expert on this board. I have never seen so many, who "know" so much as exists on this board......
