That’s nuts. Not many pro pitchers can do that.

I kept thinking they’d take him out but they didn’t. That’s impressive.

In that case, I hope they beat Wake and trot this guy out against us. Assuming they win tomorrow.

Wow I saw where the Stanford coach pitched the frick out of some guy in the regionals too. Like, 2 heavy pitch counts in 3 days.

Surely this sort of thing would get you blacklisted during recruiting? I mean, I assume these kids aren't just using a scholarship to get a Stanford degree (which ain't a bad thing), they want to go pro.

I don’t want no part of that dude. Matchup nightmare for us.

If his arm doesn’t fall off, it’ll be interesting vs. Wake Forest. Believe he’s 2nd in the country in K’s behind Skenes.

I guess that want to try to get to Omaha.

His first pitch was 92 and his last pitch was 93 and the overall majority of those pitches tonight were non stress pitches

Our risk aversion as a society is way too cautious

Skenes could do 150 with ease. Pitch counts are dumb. They’re just less dumb than every other method of judging arm fatigue. Some people are built for it and some aren’t.

Correct, every arm is different, every scenario is different. I believe Movement patterns, training, recovery, sleep, present health, volume of throwing between starts are all more important to arm health than number of pitches thrown in a game.

Truth is nobody knows what the secret sauce is, but there is also no set it stone death penalty for a guy who throws a bunch of pitches in an outing
