A lot of stats are being thrown out there today so I was curious about our KO return defense because it seems like a lot of teams are starting past the 30 yard line.

LSU is 37th with a 19.86 avg return which isn't too bad. So, as everyone is doing now, I looked for Bama and they are 34th with a 19.74 yard avg.

Bama has only had one touchback and we've had 7.

After yesterday it's clear to me why Miles likes kickers that kick it high rather than deep. Hairston kicked some line drives to the goaline but that didn't allow our coverage to get downfield. The returner had a 15yd running start every time.

Agree...and Bama is 12th in kickoff returns. Starting field position will be a huge part of the Bama game.

Ole Piss returned some on B ama yesterday....looks to me like our kicking game is better than theirs OVERALL...their punter isn't that great either...
