here's what Kevin had to say today:

I left a message where you can below the article.
quote:
“I’m going to have surgery,” said Faulk, confirmed his ACL tear and that he’s out for the season. “I’ll rehab my butt off and from see what happens. I’m going to rehab my butt off, see what happens, let my body tell me. I’ve been fortunate enough to play football for 12 years before an ACL surgery. Like a lot of people told me, ‘I’ve been blessed.’ I’m not upset by it, but I’m upset for my teammates, because we put so much into the offseason.”
Faulk was open-minded about his future. Sounds like he’ll attempt to play.
He got an outpouring of support from teammates, ex-teammates, coaches, friends, dudes who didn’t have his cell phone or email who now found it…
“It was just great to hear from them,” Faulk said.
Faulk spoke emotionally about how football helped him through the death of his mother five years ago, how it was “my crutch. And now I can’t play no more.” It was pretty sad to hear.
But he will try to perform the same captaincy role that he’s had. Faulk will stick around as much as possible to be a leader.
“Pretty much the same thing I’ve been doing,” Faulk said, “it’s just, I can’t play no more. Answer any questions they have, and just be that guy there when they need someone to talk to.”

Don't know if he'll return to football or not, but Kevin Faulk is a great Tiger. We started college at LSU in '95 and finished in '99. I used to pass by him on the way to class...usually met up around Free Speech alley. Always a friendly guy. He will forever be a part of my greatest memories. Thank you, Kevin Faulk.

A All-Time great Tiger. Hope he recovers and can finish on his own terms, he's worthy of that IMO
