Doucet just tweeted the following:

Obviously, this is a cart before the horse; but another thread was asking about this possibility and it was suggested last week that LSU May stay out west if it became possible.

Just called Doctor Kent Lowe in Utah to double check. If #LSU and Washington both win tonight, LSU would host NIT game Wednesday night. @lsukent

I thought this was common knowledge by virtue of being able to read a bracket

It’s the opposite of what Wade said Thursday on Ott’s show.

No. It was suggested and even stated by Wade last week that if the possibility became reality, that LSU would maybe stay out west instead of hosting the game in BR due to quick turnaround of next game.
So not common knowledge. I don’t know why you or others are down voting this, when it is new and good news.

Do jinx threads work differently for basketball?

Depends on your level of belief, if any, in superstition combined with being an optimist or pessimist.
Or you can simply look at it as a point of information thread in reference to a question that’s been asked on here.
You decide.

I hope Kent is adjusting to the altitude well.

Only if Washington wins. I'm assuming Wade was saying they would stay out west if they had to play at St. Mary's on Wednesday.

Just don't start any about the baseball team and you should be in the clear.

Nope. See above and other thread conversation. Wade was asked last week that should the scenario arise of LSU being in a position to host 3rd round game, would they do so. His indication was that they would likely stay out west due to the short turnaround in playing the next game.
The tweet I posted to start this thread shows a likely change in position by LSU on that.

How about this, let's win the fricking game first and then worry about where the next game is played after that.

ST Mary’s will not lose tonight.

Thanks for the jinx... Can't host if you're out of the tournament
