you can count on Ants Marching, Hey Baby, and Boogie Down never leaving. When I was there we played the hell out of Let It Whip, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, and Green Onions.

Alleva could easily do that with one of his "letters" that they post on LSUSports.net (I think Herb Vincent actually writes these, but that is a different topic for a different thread). It could go something like this...
Dear LSU students:
You are an integral part of the atmosphere of Tiger Stadium and your support is unquestioned as you help make Tiger Stadium one of the most feared venues in college football.
However, the very vulgar and obscene chants that many of the students add to the music that is played by the Golden Band From Tigerland during the games has begun to cause problems. LSU football games are seen on television and heard on radio by millions of viewers and listeners each week. These questionable lyrics that many of you are choosing to chant are loud enough so that they are audible to the many who are watching or listening to the game. It is embarrassing to LSU and is casting a poor image on what is otherwise considered to be the best tradition in all of college sports: a loud and vibrant Tiger Stadium.
It is not my wish to diminish the enthusiasm of the student body at the games. However, I am imploring you to participate in "cleaning up" the language that comes out of the student section. I am fully confident that the student section will not lose its edge by stifling the vulgar language.
I will leave it up to you, as students, to police yourselves and do the right thing in the future. However, if the vulgarities continue, then I have no choice but to provide punishment. If at any point in the future the vulgarities return and are audible, then I will have no choice but to "suspend" the band from playing songs in the stands, except for the down cheers and the touchdown spell-out. The suspension could be imposed immediately, or for the next full game. It is not my intention to stifle our band, but LSU does stand for class and if I feel the need to take such actions, then I will.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I truly believe that all of us at LSU want our university to be portrayed in the most positive way possible on television.

Tiger Band needs to steal the Bengal Brass set list. Most of those songs are awesome.. there's no reason for Tiger Band to not play them.
