Any person who believes Geyer is an a-hole has either never met the man, or was a little dilussional about his or his child's abilities. That being said you were correct about how big of an arse Schmitt was.

In regards to the rest of your points diving is doing awesome congrats to those guys and coach for putting together a great year.

The Administration is not putting the swim team in a position to be successful, doesn't matter who the coach is. There are only 2 things that matter to swimming recruits and that is facilities and past results. Since the facilities suck, recruiting sucks. No one wants to go somewhere where they will freeze on the winter and suffocate during the summer. The only thing that is holding this team back is facility. If you look at the teams times relative to the past they are faster and if you look at the swimmers times from where they were in high school they are way faster.

Don't know about his ability other than being part of a relay that did well. As for his kid, don't have a clue nor is it relavent. As to being an a-hole, not only do people who have met him know it, it's the ones who are close that can attest to it best. In other words, wrong.

The administration just sunk 2 million bucks into the "facility", sure sounds like they are positioning towards success to me. That ain't chump change. The program needs leadership not fear and intimidation.

Kids swimming faster in college than they did in high school. Remarkable. Amazing. Coach of the year.
