When that truck rolls through the scales in Texas, I wonder if the Texas DOT guys give him any shite?

How much time does 71 save

Its about the same time wise. Cuts over 15 miles. I like it better for the scenic value. Some people hate that way. To each his own. I will say if they are harvesting cane it can get a little aggravating

Agree with this. Went to Shreveport yesterday and took 190 to Opelousas. Didn't see the Washington cop this time, but I have seen him on other trips. State police were out throughout the trip, and Evangeline Parish had a deputy sheriff in their parish.

Came back 71 to 190 today. Not much traffic, but the road is a little rough from the Rapides Parish line to LeBeau. Got stuck behind a cane truck at the railroad overpass just north of Bunkie and had to follow him all the way through town. 20 mph. No chance of getting a speeding ticket in Bunkie today.

Dummios up in here. Truck left at about 10pm last night(Thursday night). The earliest it ever leaves on Thursday is about 9 pm. You must have seen it coming from Peterbilt out on O'neal on its way to Ops from servicing.

The route may depend more on the weight and size of the vehicle than the time it takes to get there.
