I'm not sure if you saw them both on set before the game Friday or not. I have a kid that's a freshman in college, so very close to his age. There is absolutely no way I could have gone up there and done that without breaking down. They seem like amazing people and then they were also talking about Skylar as well and how is like another son. Skyler is an Academic All-American and LSU's representative on the Community Service counsel or whatever it is. They were all making me feel quite inadequate before the game!

As far as the downvoters offended about the God post, it shouldn’t matter if they believe in something you don’t. It has comforted them through the worst thing a parent could ever face and it’s a good thing for them to have faith that their son is in a good place waiting on them. If you lost a child and you found comfort and brought you peace by believing in a diety, wouldn’t that be a great thing? It’s faith, not a crime.

Unfortunately I did not see that but I do know they are great people and love Skylar like a son. Skyler is the type of person I want my kids to be like. I did get to meet Wayne back in his playing days and still have the shirt he signed along with a few other players.

i did derail the thread bc I was curious about why those post were downvoted but I’m dropping it now because it’s nothing and this thread is to honor a kid gone too soon and giving a positive message. End of derailment. Moving along now. This is about this LSU team and remembering 44.
