Yes, if a WR/RB throws a pass it is indeed a trick pass
He was signed as a QB. He was lied to.

So he's never been in the QB position this year?

See you later assholes. Have fun watching Shepard's career pissed away like Kieland, Trindon, etc.

well sure
but this thread isn't about that
Do you think RS should have started at one point or that he should have just gotten more opportunities to throw. Because i have a feeling we actually agree on this topic.

So what do you have to say about miles quote?
you keep ignoring it

he was signed with the understanding that he would be able to 'compete for the starting QB position' he did just that!

Start? No
but shite... let him run a couple series against tulane or something.
let's see what he can do in a live game throwing.
I just think he should have been coached better.
he had been on campus since january 2009.
No one can tell me that he couldn't have been coached to run 5 different plays. throw a couple of times, option, screens ect...

you said:

"most of his throws would be INTs in NCAA, just like most of his runs would be sacks..."
Miles said:

"I thought he had a good spring. He's a very bright man. He has a great read. He understands secondaries. He seldom throws a ball in the wrong place by design. He knows where the ball is supposed to go."

another great quote by Les Miles, albeit before the season started. he (shep) obviously didn't show noticeable improvement to warrant the opportunity. i.e. lining up wrong & fumbling, wasting time outs... everytime he did line up correctly the defense knew what to expect & the OL didn't prevent them from capitalizing on their expectations.

A lot of people are signed and moved. A fricking shite ton.

Miles told him he would definitely play QB his entire career? Or that he would start out at QB and given a chance to play there?

Give it up Doc. These are now the following Rant myths:
He can't throw.
Doesn't know the offense.
Can't line up.
Has a fumbling problem.

Why ask this when you know the answer? Very Slowflowpro-ish.
I don't think he was given any kind of chance. That is my problem with the entire thing. What? did he get like 7 snaps in spring practice? Not much of a chance if you ask me. He was lied to IMO.

I think shep knew he wouldn't START
most people knew that
but why couldn't the coaches teach him to play college QB?
are the coaches just not good enough to do that?
why do they get paid millions?

another great quote by Les Miles,
what about this one?
quote:
"I think there's a definite challenge to our offense on how to use him, how to bring him along,"
Basically saying "We have no clue how to use this kid"

How is this Shep's fault?
