They essentially decided not to decide yet.

As long as it is in as good of shape as it was when they played the whole 2006 season (half-arse ready vice completed construction), then they can play ther now. We REALLY NEED the prep for the Aubbies this week and we REALLY, REALLY need 3 games for our young QB's.
From what people have told me back there, the stadium is the least of the problems. Sounds like it would be a logistical nightmare trying to put the game on.

It is getting more obvious the game will not be played this week, unless they consider either Superdome or as last result, Shreveport. However, I don't think they will take either option, they want the revenue. Let's face it, LSU football is big money, & the campus does not want to share it...

which technically is good news, because there is still a chance, no matter how small the chance may be, that the game could be played. Remember we didn't find out about the App St game until after App St had left, through someone flight tracking them. Troy is taking busses so that won't work this time, but it may be Thursday afternoon before we find out if there will be a game.

.on the other hand, having the 'jumbo'tron blown away would be more incentive to just go ahead and replace it with a better and bigger one.

There is no way this game doesnt get played in Tiger Stadium. It very well could be in nov. I remember when they rescheduled the ASU game, they complained the whole time about how much money we lost out on. That aint gonna happen again. Money rules the realm.
I try to look for some positives. I know we need some experience at the qb position, but this also gives us a week off before one of our biggest games of the season. (On the road versus Auburn.)

North Texas next week, not Auburn

Just read the link. The clean up wont take long. A crew can knock that out in one day. The glass can be replaced easy too. Sounds like to me that if those lights work and the scoreboard isnt falling down, then they very well could play this thing Sat. Thats fine with me. They wont make a decision until the power is restored and they can see where the lights stand.

They want the 3K plus in revenue they make per home game.
LSU needs to raise ticket prices if they only pull in 3 thousand a game.

I would perfer this game being played in the Dome than not at all. Moving the game to November would be a terrible thing for the team. Not only do we need the experience for the qb before we go to auburn, it would be very bad for the team losing their by week. The team will need that break during a long season

Someone posted the following on OT-Lounge:
"Radio is telling us that it'll be 1-8 daysfor 50% of BR and and 4 weeks for the other 50% of BR."
If true, it doesn't look good for Saturday night.

I guarantee, LSU is a priority to get Electricity restored and would be in the 1st 50% restored

I thought LSU already had its power back

If the damage is that widespread, do you really think they're going to play a football game on Saturday night?

I doubt the game will be played this weekend as much as LSU needs it.

How are they going to distribute tickets to every season ticket holder in order to play in the dome? Given that they've already sold 90,000 plus tickets, what do they do with the 20,000 people the Superdome can't hold?? The only way this game gets played is in Tiger Stadium, and that is 50/50 at best.

Why not just make it a day game. You don't need lights. I doubt the turn out will be that great anyway. If they can practice they can play a day game. Playing this game is a must for our QB's.
