Does anybody here make a few million a year to coach a game? I am not tearing Miles up over all this. I am cutting him some slack. 1 touchdown in our last 2 SEC games is a little ridiculous but I put a lot of that on injuries and personnel losses. I do however have zero sympathy for Les due to his terrific compensation as LSU's coach.

What are the chances of me being hired by Les as the OC if I said Yes to your question. Do you think he reads the Rant?

Don't ever fricking claim to represent the opinions of "most" of the Rant or LSU fans. Ever. About anything. You are the worst poster I've seen since I began lurking months before I joined.
You suck.

Charles keep trying to bring perspective to the rant. KG thinks all we need is some nice facilities and the program recruits for itself...then coaches its way to back to back to back titles. Holy. shite.

frick I hate you, KG, and everyone who thinks like you. Roaad and Topwater y'all used to be good posters. WTF happened?

I don't know shite about football. Miles confuses the shite out of me at times, but the issue with 2012 is a combination of injuries, inexperience, questionable coaching, and player errors. No easy fix. And firing the head coach is not the solution.

A bunch of excuses? He listed everything that could reasonably be contributing to the team's play. What are you talking about?

Defensively NO
Offensively HELL YES

I think a monkey could point to random plays in a Madden playbook and it would lead to a more coherent, efficient offense.

We haven't gone undefeated in the SEC in bout 50 yrs and winning the most powerful college conference in college football can't be cancelled out.

And I know we won in 2007, but its tainted

BS!

All 120 BCS programs played their games and LSU came out on top by winning the SEC and beating up on the #1 program in the nation.

The only LSU football team to ever win the BCS, AP, and Coaches crown.

I have to question the football smarts of any who believe that a HC who left a program in 12-04 is responsible for a win that took place in 1-08, but each to our own.

As to Mullen, I think the jury is still out on the guy. No doubt winning at state is a tougher gig than winning at LSU, but who has he beaten? Les was beating a Top 10 Oklahoma team in his 1st yr at Okla. St and Okla St had like one winning season in the last 10 when Les came there.

I wish I could "bow out" with a career advancing promotion.
Saban bowed out meekly via 9-3.
Saban had les time with the '07 group, and Miles acheived much more mileage and success with them.

Except we basically ran Jimbo's O in 2007.

I thought everyone knew that.
To which I had this disclaimer inserted:
"I do think Jimbo had a lot of influence in the '07 O."
Crowton put some wrinkles into Jimbo's O, some not so popular, like the banghead-SSO.

So now we move on to discrediting the 13-1 season vs one of the toughest SOS in recent memory.
The 13-1 season with a completely new OC, that passed the job to the OLC.

Let the Anti-Miles Spin begin.

No, but I think Les Miles doesn't know more about football than the staff thats around. In my opinion Les Miles benefits from the staff and players. The guy is a dumb arse and you can see it in the halftime interviews. He be saying some of the dumbest shite I'd ever heard. The guy is stubborn and sticks to what he wants and doesn't think twice about how it could hurt the team. I don't think he could lift his own weight if he had to run it on his own for one day against a good opponent...But I still support him because he is LSU.

What was Miles' record the year after the title?

ike the banghead-SSO.
The SSo is a great play, if you can run it.

Our offensive players are poor at execution. . .it is the hallmark of a Miles coached offense.

Miles' OC is like Saban's DC. They are just there to do what he tells them to do. No freedom.

It was remarkable. New OC. . .

Exact same offense as the year before, and this year. . .

And since you bring it up, Chavis brought us to 12-0 despite Miles.

We should keep the offense we have.

It has been getting better every year!

Miles could go 0-12, and it would be the players' fault. . .Miles will tell you as much.

He never passes up an opportunity to blame his players.

I've posted this before, but enjoy springing it when the bait is taken.

So as not to be confused with the popular "Defensive Scoring" rebuttal, I present the

Who is the one common denominator from the variable coaches, assistants, and players over that time span?
