Will it be ad-free tommorrow night?

It'd be awesome to get an extra 40 something feet of video screen this season

Maybe but I havent heard about it. I guarantee you they will find a way to whore that ad space out to make a few bucks

I get what everyone is saying but what program at any level above pee wee football doesn't rely on ad revenue? Bitch about it all you want but if the ad money goes away they will rape the fans even more with ticket prices. The athletic dept. is self-sufficient. They're the only program on campus that's ALWAYS in the black.

I don't think anyone has a problem with some ads, but the jumbotron last year was ridiculous in the amount of space taken up by ads. It probably won't change, but it was disappointing last year because everyone was looking forward to the big HD screen and what we got was a screen that was actually about the same size if you discount the ad space.

A self-sufficient athletic program undergoing major budget cuts..uh, yeah. I would expect another ten feet to be taken off the screen Saturday.

I think it was pretty clear that an agreement was made with those companies for that specific ad size so they kept it the same on the new scoreboard. Once that agreement term is over I expect the ad sizes to be smaller.

Is there any reason LSU can't attach ads to the outside of the screen? That would be win-win.

I know Miss. State, Ole Miss & Alabama have much larger jumbotrons than LSU. I strongly agree that the ads need to be somewhere else so the game can be seen on the jumbotrons when you don't have great seats. Geaux Tigers!
