Longest: 30 yds

15+: 2

To put that in context..
Tim Tebow 3rd down passer stats: (Ranked #7)
11/15 - 142 yards. 73.3% completion (2 TD/0 INT)
Longest: 32 yds
1st downs: 8
15+: 4
25+: 1
13/18 - 128 yards. 72.2% completion (1 TD/0 INT)

While the passing stats look pretty similar that's where the similarities come to an abrupt halt!!! One day JJ might meet or exceed what TT has achieved, but TT is a proven leader and that what LSU lacks.

It's asking to much of anyone to beat what Tebow has done. I'm not comparing the two -- it was just as a point of reference -- checking how his 3rd down stats match up against one of the best QBs of all time.

Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett: My friend, ESPN's Shaun King said it on TV, and now I'm starting to believe it. Mallett, at 6-foot-7 and 248 pounds, is the top NFL prospect in the SEC at QB. He made every throw you want to see a premier QB make Saturday night. The Arkansas staff has really concentrated on helping him with his footwork. The SEC took a lot of heat before the season for its lack of elite quarterbacks after Florida's Tim Tebow and Ole Miss's Jevon Snead. However, things have changed in a hurry and now you have five SEC quarterbacks playing at a winning level: Tebow, Mallett, Auburn's Chris Todd (down 14-0 vs. West Virginia and didn't blink), UGA's Joe Cox (big-time turnaround vs. Arkansas), and Alabama's Greg McElroy. By the way, Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead is off to a snail like pace in 2009 and will have to duplicate his 2nd Half turnaround from a year ago to enter the 2010 NFL Draft.

It doesn't matter what you say the BT group will never except JJ. If we beat MOO and GA and JJ has good stats they will still not except him!
What is their motive. Are they JL's relatives?
I have not had one fan tell me they should start lee. Apparently the coaches dissagree with the BT

His stats are not as good on 1st/2nd down. He's still above 60% completion though.
(61.3% completion on 1st downs) 7/31 passes attempted on 1st down resulted in a 1st down.
(62.5% completion on 1st downs) 9/24 passes attempted on 2nd down resulted in a 1st down.
Not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, IMO. If we can get our Oline to block and give us a solid running game his numbers will cross over from 'good' to 'great'

Right now we average 6.5 yards/attempt.

It's a fun site to play with.
The YPA and YPC (10.1 vs. 11.6)are really the only negatives. They are bringing him along slowly, and that is good.
Plus this line has struggled more than last year and that has forced some quicker releases/shorter routes.
