I appreciate the whole team with their free tuition, books, meals, medical treatment, room and board not to mention all that hard work they put in, now get out there and kick some arse this year!

the ole miss ending is on both JJ and the coaches. you cant expect him to be a perfect QB with what he was thrown into last year as was JL the year before but i do believe JJ is much improved and will lead our team to great things this year.

I understand the pressure that comes with your being the lead fry-boy, so I won't get on your arse about those burnt onion rings.

The appreciation thread for our starting QB is half negative while the appreciation thread for our back up was full of cheer and man crushes... interesting.

What have you ever sacrificed for LSU? You are a pathetic pile of shite.

Well let's see.. I graduated with a degree. I have hired numerous LSU alums. I have given back to the business school as well as TAF.

Let's not forget it is a privilege to play for the Tigers. These kids are getting a free education and national exposure to promote themselves at the next level.

Sacrifice geez..
Give me a freaking break....

And you are still on the fry line?
If you are such of a big shot, why the hatred for someone who works his arse off for LSU?
What makes it important for you to bash Jefferson?
How does that make you feel?
Manly?

Success should be rewarded. He hasn't done anything yet. I did not bash him. No player should be singled out unless they do something that deserves recognition. We're not Ole Miss. We don't recognize co-championships and we don't recognize mediocrity. Did you watch the spring game? Let's see improvement...

where is this statement in the other appreciation thread? there's a lot more man love to attack in that one.

Didn't even look at the JL one. If he can stop yanking at his shoulder pads and throwing interceptions, then I'll read a thread dedicated to him.

otherwise, I don't feel sorry for someone getting an opportunity to get a free education at LSU and get the chance to play football

How many games has Jefferson won?
What was his completion %age last year?

So unless a player wins the Heisman, fans aren't allowed to express their appreciation for the time effort and loyalty he has shown? Ok I get it. The players are just a bunch of slugs and we can't thank them for giving what most of us could never give.

Finally you get something right.

quote:

We don't recognize co-championships and we don't recognize mediocrity

Again unless the team wins major championships, the players aren't supposed to be appreciated? Precisely how low in esteem should they be held?

Did you watch the spring game?

Now that is truly funny. You are basing your idiotic position on a controlled, scripted scrimmage practice? I seem to recall a certain Matt Mauck having a horrible spring game and there was serious concern about his ability to fully recofver from his injury. How did he turn out?
But you do make a point. If a player doesn't shine in the TA-DA "SPRING GAME" he is a lost cause.

Now tell you mommy that you are done and she can have her computer back.

Loyalty? What, thank you for not transferring? This is ridiculous....

Great attempt to spin my words but not what I said. Jefferson hasn't done crap to be singled out with an appreciation thread. Heismans, All SEC, winning championships, putting his team in a better position to win. All of these things are reasons to show appreciation. Read every write up about LSU and you'll see that everyone is unsure about us because of Miles & the QB situation. The Oline a close second. Come on man get off your high horse and realize when there is a scrub leading our team.

I would look-up to him in the literal use of the word, not figuratively. Very few people I look-up to figuratively. Here are a few: Ghandi, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, MLK, Good Ole Abe Lincoln, my old man for what he has done for me...

that was a horrible ending... but I dare say I've seen quite a few accomplished quarterbacks run out of time on a last drive.
