Burrow also said that Coach O should get a lifetime contract, I think it was during his Heisman acceptance speech or an interview thereafter. Lol.

The entire interview is great. I don’t know if this has been stated but his response saying he didn’t care about the Ohio St. loss showed he’s a true Tiger now.

who recruited them? Who mentors them? Who develops them?
And, for the sake of argument, what happens if he never inspires said players? We look back on multiple losing seasons and say, “oh well. He can’t help it if the kids won’t listen.” Let’s hope he can find better kids one day…..oh wait!
Let me ask you: what does a coach do?
So for the sake of argument, does O get credit for the players he’s put in the NFL, or is that a credit to talent they already have or other coaches?
Since when has he not “inspired” players? Most every player that has played for him state they would run through walls for the guy. Interesting point.
We have too 5 recruiting classes every year. We have won a National Championship under Orgeron. Yes, he got Joe Burrow here, he got Jamarr Chase away from Florida, he gave a spot to Justin Jefferson at the time who wasn’t even considered a top player in the state by any means and most thought he was just an “LSU legacy”. He’s done a lot for me to think every inch of the responsibility falls on him when he constantly produces top recruiting classes, puts a ton of players in the NFL and won a National Championship. Seems like he develops players for the next level just fine.
He does have to find a way for the kids to listen, but the lack of success is not solely his fault.
