As has been the practice in previous offseasons [actually started last season], Buckeye receivers set a goal to catch 10,000 balls off the jugs machine. In late March, Hill is already halfway there.*
Actually, the 10K goal started last season when WR's Parris Campbell & Johnnie Dixon vowed to shake the "bad hands" label. They hit their 10K goal, both had great seasons and both are expected to be drafted.

Rohan commented last week that LSU drops are a big problem. Way too many drops in the Spring game.

Pretty innovative, cutting edge technique there.

It's one thing to have the resources available. Another thin to get up off the couch every day and put them to use.

Do you own an interest in the company that makes these things? It’s all you talk about.

Wish I did.

Jugs is the fastest way for WR's to develop technique. LSU doesn't have a fraction of the number of QB's needed to give WRs the off-season work they badly need.

Do you think we don't use Jugs machines?

Does Mike Leach still shoot tennis balls at his WR's to teach them how to catch?

“I’ve never coached a receiver that’s done that much extra on a JUGS Machine ever,” MSU wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales said. “ That’s a testament to him as far as his work ethic. That shows he wants to be a great player.”

The jugs is an excellent tool to increase hand eye coordination and anticipation. The initial problem with many young receivers is focusing on the pass pattern, separation and expectant contact. As the pattern and separation become second nature, they become more focused on the main priority...catch the damn ball.

I'll add to this thread that Odell and Jarvis were notorious for putting in long hours of extra work on the Jugs machines.

Occasional use and 10,000 off-season reps are 2 COMPLETELY different things

Do you think LSU WRs don't have a drops problem?

The linked article is about a WR who had to break into a locked equipment room to use a JUGS machine. The equipment manager didn't want the WRs to scuff up the footballs.

They are.

Do you know for a fact our receivers aren't doing intense hours of Jugs work? I have no idea and neither do you.

Honestly, not much worse than other teams. Sure I'd like us to get better, but we're not some egregious drop offender as a team. There were just some untimely ones that stick out to people.

We're right in the middle of the pack in the SEC for drop rate:

Wrong. I know that there is no high volume JUGS work. Pick up your phone. Ask around. It ain't brain surgery.

That's nice. "middle of the pack" works for you?

Rohan and may others know there is a drop problem. Ignoring it wont make it go away. Off-season hard work will.
