He's going to go, I am sure, but if he did stay and refined his game yet another time, he would be an 18 ppg/1o rpg player. He might even be taken in the top 10 if he does wait. That is a lot more cash multiplied over.

Mickey concerns me more. Martin should be back and be a 15/7 type of player.

He's gone and our team will benefit from it overall. Great individual player, but sometimes his effort and his pouting affects other players, imo.

He will likely make it official in next 3-4 days. Will likely be gone. I hope we keep him but I doubt it.

I agree, gone and while it hurts losing him, it could also help open us up. At times i felt like we tried to force it to him when we had other things that were working really well. He also had some man child games though so that will be missed.

Exactly. He was such a beast it forced us (many times unknowingly) to give him the ball and just stand and watch. Our guards will be able to penetrate and we should be way more balanced next year. I honestly think it's best for both JOB and LSU that he moves on.

Also, going out on a limb...but I'm saying Hickey leaves. Just a hunch. I feel as though it's Hickey or Odo

not going to him in the 2nd half was the main reason it got out of hand. We settled for jacking up shots on bad possessions instead of letting him muscle it in the post.

And that was because he was on the bench for 8 straight minutes because he was gassed and playing lazy on defense.

This. I love what he has done for LSU but I think that him being gone would help CJJ to finally be able to start putting a stamp on this team. I think that him being as good as he was, actually hurt the team because CJJ couldn't run his system the way he wanted with JOB. Same for the others from the Trent era.

But I love JOB, Hickey, Stringer and the rest for what they have done for LSU but when they are all gone, CJJ will be able to play his system and stamp his identity into the program. That's when we will find out if CJJ is the coach to make LSU a consistent contender.

I can't criticize CJJ's coaching skills until he has his full roster of his own recruits.

I'm not criticizing JOB, Hickey or Stringer in any way because they were really good players for LSU and did help the team win. I just think addition by subtraction only because of coaching styles.

Unless he grows like 3-4 inches over the summer he's not going in the top 10 ever.

Hawthorne and Blanton kept suggesting he might be hurt during the 2nd half.

JOB career is all but over, he may get a tryout overseas but for all intents and purposes his career is over.

He should stay. I'm usually the first to say that players should go pro but he needs one more year of polishing his game. He's not going to get a big contract if he enters this years draft and will have a lot of proving to do in the NBA.

It would be easier for him to improve his game in college, get his draft stock up a little more and get a bigger signing bonus.

I hope not. I for one would like to see him stay. He got better each year, and could further refine his skills and improve his draft status. If he does enter the NBA draft, then I am very thankful for all he has done for the LSU basketball program. Years from now, we will look back and realize with appreciation just what a catalyst he was in bringing back the magic of winning LSU basketball again. Thanks JOB III!!!

I think he's gone, but I hope he stays. Our offense was at it's best in the latter part of the year when we played inside out basketball. He was key in this. But good luck to him no matter what.
