Lee actually shows improvement from year to year, and this year it's series to series.

Just imagine if he had a real QB coach the first 3 years!

This was totally and completely my fault. My brother was at work and I was texting him score updates. When they put that graphic up and after the TD, I texted him that he's thrown 132 straight without an int. Next pass, a freakin interception!! I threw up a little bit.

Most impressive thing about Lee's performance last night was the # of different receivers he hit. Not sure of the #, but it seemed like every offensive player under 290 lbs had a reception. I don't remember the last time we spread the ball around like that.

Didn't get the final figure, but at one point an on-screen graphic said that number was "8" different receivers.

Nothing against Lee, he's a vast improvement over JJ. However, our WR's should get some of the credit for his gaudy completion %. They're catching great this year.

but hopefully the handfull of people who still want to bring up all the INT's in 2008 will realize that Lee is light year's ahead of where he was in 2008

Depends on the game. There were clearly some catchable drops in the first game. I'd give receivers about the same grade as the QB.

Even though I know they were trolling, it kinds irked me that everyone said shite like "there's the real lee" after his pick. It's aggravating when people don't know what it's talking about.

I never disliked the kid, just thought he was possibly the worst QB to start for LSU since the invention of the forward pass

Chad Loup was pretty bad, sorry locals.

Man, I didn't know he was that close to breaking the record. He still has time, but it's going to be a lot tougher now that SEC has played.

Does anyone know when was the last time one QB threw for over 200 in a game. Seems like forever. JJ had just under 160 in his best game of the year last year, the Cotton Bowl. He and JL may have combined once or twice for 200, but I would have to guess that the last time a QB did it solo was JL during the 2008 season. Just guessing.

Well at least our coaches finally have a reason to give them the ball, I think they thought JJ was a Vince Young or something...they know they might have a pass thrown at them because Lee is either handing it off or its coming through the air, no more run JJ, run JJ again, then try to option JJ but he ultimately ends up running himself...damn I am not glad what happened to him happened, but I am glad other people are getting chances and stepping up! LSU is bigger than 1 guy, always will be and should be.

Great question re: 200+ yards passing in a game

Against OM...

Jefferson 13-17-1 254 1 40

FWIW, Lee did play that game, and did contribute to the total passing yds. He went 1-4 for 4 yds.

They are catching great because they don't have to catch the football on the second bounce or carry a ladder to reach the ball.
