So yes I have more hope with jj for a dual option. I also think jj is physical enough not to be intimidated. Saban has always had problems with dual threat qb's.
That wasn't the question. This was:

Again, so you LSU "fans" had conceded a loss to Bama if JJ had not returned to the team?
Would you concede a loss to Bama if JJ had not been reinstated? Answer that question, please, because that it was the 2 prior posters had stated.

Do you not think there is a reason for that?
And before you say, "it's Les ball." He let Jamarcus take over games and wing it. He let Flynn as well.
Obviously Les is still shaken by Lee's freshmen on field performance.

quote:blue? Yes. Ford? Different, but ford is a better pure running back. He is only reliable in certain situations general anything to get the edge.
So you believe that JJ is a better runner than Blue or Ford?

Jeez, I don't know why we don't just line him up at tailback if that was the case...
I think that is what they are doing. It's actually surprising. Jj was a highly rated pro style qb coming out.

No

Maybe so.
My stance on Lee has always been that I trust Miles. JJ beat him out 3 years in a row (including this year, prior to his stupid bar fight decision).
Others say Miles has a crush on JJ or an obsession with him or whatever.
I've tried to side with Miles' outlook that maybe he's a better player than Lee.
And then I respond to a lot of people who grill him constantly, a lot of the time for no reason.

I think our wr play and qb's have improved a whole lot. Should benefit both.

I've said since the beginning of 09 that Lee would have to win the starting job back on the field, not in practice, unless there was some obvious separation between the 2. Last year it appeared that Lee should have been given a shot to start after the FL game, but Les stuck with JJ. I don't think it's as much of 'JJ beat him out', as it is 'you have to clearly beat out the incumbent to take his job'. Circumstances changed, however, and Lee has been up to the task so far.

The OP is full of fail.

I responded in the other thread. It really comes down to how you define "good." I try to compare it not to what's happened here for the past 3 years (which hasn't been good). But to what should be expected from the QB of a top 5 national program.
To me Lee is "solid." I think "good" players are guys who can make an impact on the game. I think great players are ones who can take over.
I don't believe Lee is capable of taking over a game and winning for LSU.
I don't think JJ is either, to be clear.
I dont think JLee is a great player either.
But to me, solid and good are one in the same.
JLEE is solid.. he hasnt been great, but I think the vast majority of LSU fans would agree he has been good.
Done everything he's needed to do to lead this team on offense.

Well, then there's where we differ.

good qbs make 3rd down completions
good qbs dont throw picks
good qbs lead the team (tempo, positioning, play calls)
good qbs throw tds
good qbs know when a play is not there to be had
good qbs have the repect of their teamates
JLEE does all the above.
Not against latech and nrthtxas either.
Not just in the friendly confines of your home stadium.
If you want to continue believing and stating he isnt a good qb,, that's your deal.. although you'd be hard pressed to find many people that will go along with you on this line of thinking.

Florida 2010 says otherwise. Jordan Jefferson is neither capable of throwing accurate quick slants to receivers coming off of the line of scrimmage nor capable of throwing one accurate fade, much less two in succession.

He did it last year
And 2008

So has JJ this year. Instead of praising JJ for the same things JL has done or not done (turnovers) you smite him and nitpick his every move.

I know revisionist history on here will try and tell you different, but Saban has always struggled with mobile QBs.

Are you this stupid on purpose?

Stfu. You don't want to do this with me. Did I call you stupid? Keep it to football, only if you can. You and your band of brothers need a damn reality check, frickin grilling a team player and you dare call yourself an LSU fan.

I highly doubt he is a better QB than Lee, but definitely complimentary. Lee has done nothing to make me question his ability this year. JJ hasn't either to this point but has reinforced that he is a running QB who can occasionally throw.
