Really?
Auburn threw the ball 20 times against Alabama last year. They ran it 41 times. Over 2/3 of their plays were runs.

Run, just like every year since Saban got there.

But it just doesn't work that way. The more you throw, the less clock you use and the more opportunity you give their offense to produce.
Since when is burning clock more important than moving the ball and scoring points?

But, this discussion with you doesn't matter. Miles is going to run the ball at least 2/3 of the time against Alabama. The only way we don't run that much is if we go down by two scores or more early . . .then we're in trouble.
LM is gonna do whatever it takes to move the chains. Run or throw... his preference isnt the point here.

I think in order for JJ to be successful vs Bama he will have to throw the ball successfully like he did last year. Not sure he is to that point yet, hopefully he gets a few throwing ops this week. He bailed on a couple vs UT in order to run.
I think this Bama defense is as good as I have seen. LSU needs both Qb's to have any offensive success.

And we've done that every game so far. With Lee guiding us to double digit leads before JJ gets a series. Not sure how JJ suddenly becomes 'the key' to anything

So your point that JJ softened them up is now abandoned, when faced with the reality?
What?
We averaged more yards per carry against Alabama compared to the rest of the season (5.0 to 4.5) and rushed for more yards (250 to 187).

And I think it's pretty much a given that Lee can hand off
Good lord, I feel like a broken record. This has nothing to do with Lee's handoff mechanics. It has to do with how defenses play the run when Lee is in the game compared to Jefferson.

I said that b/c JL is not mobile. A mobile QB who's a decent passing QB is more valuable against Bama.
Really...In 580 attempts JJ jas been sacked 63 times...In 530 attempts JLee has been sacked 18 times....Really

I cannot care less about the insults. What gets me is the willful ignorance to simple facts.

Your entire post history is definitely an indication of your "support" level for JJ. No links required.

Yeah, I just find it humorous that their typical "logic" is to accuse others of doing exactly what they are doing.

Well, like I pointed out way back in my initial post, I don't think he or Lee is "the" key to beating Alabama.
The key to beating Alabama is not giving up non-offensive points and making McCarron beat you.
That said, Jefferson can play a crucial role in increasing our effectiveness running the ball and loosening up their front seven - which is the strength of their team.

We haven't played a defense in the same league as Alabama.

when all else fails huh?
SOrta like your brother saying that I "probably" root for JJ to throw ints.

You two are awesome.

Miles will start JL just like other games, use Ware to Ware the other team down (pun intented). Then bring in JJ in the second half with fresh legs to win the game. But i do believe we have to make key passes to pull away from bama.

I don't think any one player will be the "key" to LSU beating Bama.
Honestly, the reason for LSU's tremendous success this year is because they aren't just a bunch of dudes running around out there... they are a team. A unit.
LSU's offense is not good because of Jarrett Lee. Or Jordan Jefferson. Or Spencer Ware. Or PJ Lonergan. Or Rueben Randle. They are good because all of them contribute into a well-oiled machine.
Same on the defense. Tyrann Mathieu doesn't make this defense. Neither does Mo Claiborne, nor Sam Montgomery or Michael Brockers or Ryan Baker. They are a unit, who communicate effectively and play well together.

I don't know why, but I just have this feeling that the Bama will be JJ's game and Miles will give him the some point in the first half of this game.
you want to believe it..
there, you now know why
