re: JJ should get a big ovation when he enters the game........

I think the crowd should give Lee a huge ovation. Jefferson put himself in that position and Lee has responded by leading us to a 4-0 record. I think the crowd should let Lee know that he doesn't have to be looking over at his shoulder at the return of Jefferson.

How does not giving him an ovation make an lsu fan classless?
I guess I say this more in the sense that I could literally see our fans booing him. An ovation may not be in order, but at least a show of support from the fans would be good.

only due to coaches loyalty probably.
I think it was more due to miles being unsure if he was mentally past 2008...and as such, he presented a risk of more turnovers.....JL lacked confidence in a game, and miles decided to go with the more conservative approach with JJ running the ball...occassionally attempting to pass it...and hopefully lessening the turnover potential in the process...and winning on defense. Obviously, Lee has gotten past the confidence issues now....but even though I was a JL supporter...I don't blame miles....while JL had more upside...he also potentially had more downside and miles viewed him too risky...imho.

The first jerk who boos needs to get his butt tossed out. JJ's been through enough.

I don't look for a big ovation, but expect there will be many boos. He will get a lot of playing time. You can bet he has been practicing and watching film. They will just use his plays...The ones created for him that Lee had to suffer with last year. Quite sure there are a lot more that were put in over the summer. No problem for JJ. Good luck, but Lee should get the snaps. He has earned them by playing smart, winning football. Who cares who runs the best. We have a bevy of great running backs.

The leaer of the team brings curfew gets in a barfight and should get a standing ovation? He should nothing and be happy for a second chance.

This is not surprising JJ. You also thought you played well against Tenn last year.

Lee should get a big ovation when they announce him as the starter in the starting lineups before kickoff. The guy has been through a lot. Most would agree that he is a good guy. He is LSU through and through and deserves a big cheer.

Once upon a time, that fans at LSU were classy.
Then I guess only the CLASSY LSU fans will be applauding the heroic and admirable efforts of JJ.

Crazy thing is, he probably helped us to 4-0 and No.1 in the nation BY SCREWING UP!!
Well if you really think this wouldn't you want to show your appreciation?

Why? If they paid for their ticket, they can do whatever they want as long as it doesn't encroach on someone elses viewing experience.
I don't support booing, but I also don't support being ejected over booing.

I'm gonna boo and throw a tantrum and complain about Miles and LSU the rest of the game if he enters.
Posted on 9/30/11 at 7:55 am to jeffsdad
The entire team deserves the big ovation. The team wins the games. It is good to know he is back and on the bench should anything happen to JL!

The guy has been through a lot, and from the grand jury's perspective, what he has been through was unwarranted. Most would agree that he is a good guy, not a thug that got away with something. He is LSU through and through and deserves a big cheer.
WHile I certinaly wouldnt boo him... I damn sure have no reason to give him a "standing ovation"
I'll save that for the qb that is the leader of this team.
JLEE.

No doubt he practices well. His stats for actually playing, that's another story.
