He was supposed to be the leader of this team. He declared himself as such and then he put himself in that position that brought on the problems. He did not demonstrate the leadership that a self proclaimed leader should. He deserves no more singled out cheering when he walks on that field than any other player. I didn't say boo him. But he has done nothing so far that delivers a hero's welcome back. If he scores or throws a touchdown then I will cheer just like any other time.

What do you mean? The grand jury didn't exculpate JJ. They concluded there was enough evidence to charge him with a crime - battery.

Why? Because he violated curfew and escaped a felony? Lets not reward bad behavior.

In other words what anyone could be charged with in any physical altercation.

not according to the Grand Jury,
The grand jury decides Les Miles 4 game suspension was too much?
Miles didn't have to suspend him for one game. I thought 2-3 would be enough if he were involved. Les Miles an the administration saw it differently. He could have been playing the whole time.

Speculation about other fights aside, he has still been charged with a crime. The grand jury did not exonerate him. That is not what occurred. So he did "deserve" to be arrested. And he certainly doesn't "deserve" to be applauded for it.

He broke rules and put the team's future at risk.
Selfish behavior not becoming of a leader or anyone worth cheering.

Minor one. I predicted all this shite weeks ago, but thought JJ would be back a week or two earlier. I have been in a very similar situation to the one JJ was in.

I just think the BRPD went a bit far.

The grand jury did not exonerate him.
Therefore, it was clearly not what he deserved. . .per the Grand Jury.

I suppose you know much much more about the intricaties of this case than most of us. Including those in the BRPD>

I have no clue. Do you? I suppose where there is the possibility of a felony charge it would be normal. Are you assuming bar fights should all be considered minor incidents?
I spent 30 days in jail for one in which I was protecting the bar, hired security. I can assure you that they make your life f'king miserable and don't worry about resources.
