Not starting Stringer & Martin, I thought was just crazy. But watching there is NO scoring letdown at all when subs come in. Brilliant! JOB3 plays his best when the paint isn't as crowded and it showed tonight.

That was a clinic on crashing the boards. I really like this team. They are going to figure this out over the next two weeks and I think CJJ will have them up and running.

He did stop after he missed a couple. We still have some players who need to learn that. Some nights it isn't your night...accept it and find other ways to help the team.

He also missed two layups...outch.

That is true SC has never seen a shot he didn't like. But the points of the bench ensure there's not a drought 8-12 minutes into each half.

Ya colemanis smart player. He passed yp some looks after stadting cold

1st layup he anticipated contact and blew it

2nd one he was mugged but they did a no call to allow an easy tip in

coleman had a horrible offensive night. we need him to be able to drop open looks if we are going to live up the hype and make the tourny.

FWIW earlier this year i suggested putting stringer on the beach so we would have a shooting threat to come off the bench. Rantards laughed at the idea of coleman in for stringer

I think it also helps on the defensive side too when Stringer and TQ come in. Those two work really well together. And TQ has very little interest in scoring a ton which lets AS & Martin more shots.

I liked everything I saw tonight. What happened with Hickey not playing much? Shavon was just off tonight, not a big deal. He will get it back on track

Ole miss was a horrible night for TQ but the kid has come on with some good nights. He has the tools and he supposedly had a good stroke in high school so maybe that will come around. I think he has the size to end up being a very good guard if he gets aggressive and goes to the hole. Its going to be extremely tough for any point guard to stop him and if a post guy slides over he can dish it to mickey, martin or job3 for a easy dunk.

I think hickey just kinda got lost in the flow of the game. TQ was playing well when he went in and the team was rolling. I don't mind letting hickey get extended rest/ less minutes if we are playing a team that we can handle. It gives good minutes for TQ to learn

He didn't start Martin and Stringer last game and JOBIII was horrible. Tonight was a step in the right direction, but let's not go off the deep end just yet. It was a win at home against one of the worst teams in the SEC. LSU is 2-2 in SEC play with their two wins coming against SEC bottom dwellers. Tues. night will be another shot a "show me something" game. Let's hope tonight's victory is a springboard for better things to come

I agree, it was only 1 game, but they just beat down a team that beat Mizzo. That's pretty good. I think the thing about spreading out shots and having some scoring punch off the bench is solid. Martin and TQ will be really solid in years to come as starters.

Is it me or does Mikey remind anyone of V. Singleton? Quick hops and smooth to the basket. I really like his game.

I thought this thread was gonna be about Jordan Jefferson leading the Pittsburgh Power in rushing yards.
