Exactly. Im just worried JJ drops one of the next three games for us.

JJ offense "Boring"

Now we are seeing More JJ running and less passes to Rueben Randle.

Rueben was averaging 5 to 6 catches a game before Jefferson started. Now he averages 2 per game.

Gotcha but I think in college football you kinda have to tailor the offense to what you have.

No, that isn't how it always works. Urban Meyer won't stop running his spread even with Brantley as the QB. I can't see GA Tech stop running their option or Oregon stop running their zone read. QB's that can't play in those systems either sit or they learn to play in those systems.

We've seen flashes of good QB play but it's too early to have crazy high expectations.

Agree completely - he's poised, confident, and with a few (though admittedly bad) exceptions, has made good decisions. He runs like he's pissed off at the world!!!!

There is just a toughness factor that JJ gives this team. Also, JJ's ball security, with a good punter and Defense, is a good recipe for a Win. It just sucks the hope out of the other team.

I'm ok with "boring" as long as it gets us a championship. The exciting teams(OU/OSU/Oregon)will be sitting at home watching the boring teams (LSU/Bama) play for a national title.

Also, JJ's ball security,

WTF, Dude fumbled the ball on his first snap of the game last week.

Dude it was W. Kentucky and Ole Miss. In the Bama game if he just leads Shepard a little he walks into the endzone for 6.

Who hasn't ? Ole Miss is the worst team in the SEC with just two wins.

Fair enough. I have never seen JJ as a QB, more as an all-purpose athlete. But I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised with how fluid and decisive he was against OM. I am hoping it is the start of something good.

You act like the trophy is going in your house.

I like excitement.

I like watching the game with excitement and have something to talking about while winning the game in the process.

Lee brought excitement and won the game. His play calls wasn't predictable.

I'm confident with him as our starter. He looks the part now

Did you watch any games last year when he was the starter? Now after starting against 2 teams with horendous defenses he is great?? One game we were a 41pt favorite and the other were a 24pt favorite our waterboy could have played QB and we still win these games!!!!!!!!!!

I think JJ has improved each game. He was "ok" against Bama, didn't lose the game. He was "decent" against WKU. Tough to judge b/c he was playing an overmatched defense. Taking a safety was inexcusable. He played really well against Ole Miss. Yes, it's Ole Miss but I cannot find anything to criticize.

Arkansas is another step up in competition so we will see.

Serious question, why does Miles recruit pro style QBs if he wants a mobile QB? No one would say Mett and Rivers are mobile QBs. So why even recruit them if Miles MUST have this mobile QB that everyone keeps harping in here? Wouldn't it make more sense to just recruit Randall and other athletic QBs if that is what Miles supposedly requires for his offense?

you're an idiot if you truly think this. You could watch two LSU games and know Lee's entire offense, and the same could be said with JJ. We are just a very predictable offensesive team. Or maybe i watch the game with a coaches eye and i catch on to personell packages and such, such as anytime Hilliard is in the game at FB, its the FB cross buck trap.

Are you saying Lee wasnt doing a good job with this?
is it possible that there are things behind the scene with this football team that we as fans don't know about.i like both of our qbs but i also believe in our coach.fwiw i cant see clm playing jj if he didn't think he gave lsu the best shot at victory.

Fwiw I started a topic last week saying after watching warmups and pregame that JJ was superior to Lee in every way. I was being genuine and it was taken as a flame and taken down. JJ is clearly better in every facet of the game and has really turned the corner IMO. The light has come on and he will lead LSU to a title.

The FB counter is painfully obvious to anyone that pays attention at all.

I still have my doubts on his throwing abilities. Dude can't throw a quick slant. Not like Lee can in the red zone.. Jefferson doesn't have a quick release and still looks at one receiver.

I still think he can't read Defenses. I mean how could anyone know, he has played against horrible defenses since he has started.

I mean, This is the same guy that had 4 tds and 9 ints all of last season before the Cotton bowl game.

He has thrown 1 td since being the starter and that sounds very odd to me especially when the defense he has played against were terrible.

i like watching the qbs warm up also and jj does look sharper than lee,not saying that translates to game play but he and mett are both more accurate in warm ups.
