JJ definitely likes keeping our receivers on their toes.

OF course Rohan was on his way to a very good junior season after he beat out Booty after the UAB game started and beat Tenn though injured in the game in a huge upset. Then lost to Florida and aggravated his injury. Was not heard from again that year until the Ga Tech game dedpite the fact that against Arky Booty threw for I believe 14 straignt incompletions in a loss. Started the 2nd half of the Ga Tech bowl game and led LSU to a come from behind victory. Had a great senior year but definitely did not fit with the others because he had a good junior year just due to injuries then being replaced till GA Tech by Booty did not play as much as he should. Was very succesful on the field as a junior.

You could have easily added Johnathan crompton, tj yates, and Chris Todd to that list of players and there are plenty more.

Maybe your clairvoyant, how can you make comments like:

Plus, he seems to take time adjusting to the defenses I get the impression he throws more mistakes in the 1st and third quarters.

Plus, it seems like he makes more mistakes at HOME than on the road. All of this sounds like mental pressure issues to me. Thinking and reacting well under bad field position and feeling the pressure to perform for the home fans.

without seeing him play

If not Clairvoyant then maybe you’ve been to a tarot reader in Jackson Square.

Good Luck with That!

How in the world can people still have the opinion that JJ "doesn't help but doesn't hurt you"?!

People acknowledge that he had a bad year, but, shite, he was a terribly inaccurate turnover machine last year.

Meanwhile, JL was thrown into the absolute worst situations, helped the team win games, and people still say he is the more turnover-prone QB. Hell, a lot of people don't even want him to have a chance to see the field!

JJ this year will be the same qb for the last 3 years. We have to hope the other players will win for us like last year!

Win or loose this year I think there will be 1 hell of a party simply because JJ is gone!!!!!

Hey if he somehow turns into a competent and most importantly consistently competent qb I will be the first one on here to eat crow. But if he is the 2010 JJ and has a decent game against Oregon and then has several bad games in a row then a good game then a bad game and so on. I will be dancing in the streets when he is gone!

Because that is the only explanation they have left for why JJ should start over Mett or Lee.

I would think the fact Mett is running 3rd string would be the only "explanation" needed for him not starting.

You do know he led the team in total O in pretty much every game last year? For most coaches, that's a major determining factor on which skill players get playing time.
There were some games that Jefferson actually lead the team in rushing.

Yes, except no one has argued Mett is less talented than JJ. So the explanation most often offered for why Mett is behind him and Lee is that Mett is inexperienced. That Mett may have more potential, but we can't risk it until he gets some experience. In the meantime, JJ offers a safe alternative who won't potentially hurt us even if he doesn't produce. You take away JJ not hurting us and all of a sudden even an unpolished Mett sounds better than an experienced JJ.

His tendency is to hold onto the ball and take sacks, which is better than Jarrett Lee's tendency of throwing an INT.

You mean just like JJ 10 Int last year as a Jr QB with 2 yrs starting.

I believe Lee only threw 1 last year.
