Will continue to say it, that face on LSU football spells doom for program credibility, particularly the SE U.S. recruiting area. Don't look for many players out of N. LA, much less other states. Of course speaking here of the type of player it takes to even begin to compete against...

Embarrassment, but of course if you want to reinforce the "backward funny speaking" presentation to the country...just keep on keepin on.

Saban temporarily changed that image and Les maintained it, albeit, his stranger than fiction ways, recruiting was maintained and image was at least not where it is today. People are laughing.

The only thing I could possibly see would be renegotiating the buyout portion. I think by the end of December it's going to down around $4 million.

Personally, I think this whole thing is about Orgeron's salary. I believe he's pushing for a small extension and to re-work the salary.

As it stands, he makes the same amount as Chad Morris and less than Jeremy Pruitt.

Too much and he'd work for less.

Thanks Larry. I just think it’s asinine to even entertain the idea of giving O an extension at this point. He doesn’t deserve it yet. I want him to fix the God awful offense first.

Will he? Serious question, do you people think Alleva and the BOS are pushing an extension just because they feel like it or do you think Orgeron and his agent and working them for one?

Probably 40 yrs older than you. I'll keep my negative comments about culture to myself, but having lived in N LA back in the day for 10+ yrs, Texas, MS, AR and short-time elsewhere, as everyone knows people love to smirk at the stuff they see on TV and elsewhere...even though some of it is downright good for LA and reason to take pride.

My point with this bafoon is that this is not a modern day portrayal of what, at least I believe, you want on your program. People in AR understood that about Biliema and the worse it got, the more they were embarrassed. We lost Etienne, my belief, directly because of the "$#%Tas#" recruiting methodology used. That loss had a very personal meaning to me...and I don't mean that I knew him, just shameful it happened where it did when it shouldn't have.

Tiger fan to the end, wake up people.

I’m sure that Orgeron and his agent are pushing for a raise and an extension. I imagine they will ask to increase the buyout as well, although LSU may not agree to that. But who knows? Miles and his agent hoodwinked Alleva into believing that Arkansas was trying to hire him away from us. It got him a nice extension and look where we are now. Still paying him to sit at home and eat grass. I don’t want to risk the same thing happening with Special Ed. Make him prove himself before you reward him. That’s all I’m saying.

A small raise and extension after an 11 win season isn't some bank breaking proposal. If LSU gives him a 3 year extension with 15 million guaranteed, I'll pick up the pitchfork, but I don't think that's what happening.

What if we lose to either Arky or A&M, but win the bowl game. That’s not an exceptional season. Do you still give him an extension?

This season has exceeded expectations, but it has shown no glimmer of hope that we are ready to take that next step into national relevance.

At minimum an SEC championship flag needs to be flying before we talk raise and extension.

I've laid out what I think earns him an extension for you twice already. Read it, again, and get back to me.

I disagree with your reasoning. I’ll leave it there. I don’t think he deserves an extension. I agree wholeheartedly with BlackAdam on this.

Considering the fact that you've presented me with several hypotheticals that I clearly said wouldn't earn him an extension, even after I've quoted my original post back to you, I don't think you know what my reasoning is.

Who cares about the extension as long as the buyout is lowered it. It could actually be benificial for LSU. Say they extend him but lower his buyout. It would then be cheaper to get rid of him.

I'm glad someone else gets it.

You're throwing a bitch fit over a rumored extension that hasn't even had speculated details posted yet. You've bulldozed straight past "I don't care".

The extension should be and probably is only related to recruiting. Competition will use that against us for sure, he needs to appear to have job security to get commitments.

Ok. You've made a good case. I can agree with this, IF we finish the regular season 10-2.
