One listens to the radio during a football game mainly for one reason, INFORMATION. When I am in TS I honestly wonder if JH is watching the same game. Everyone makes a mistake here and there but this guy has to average at least 10 screwups a game. Is he not listening to the guy next to him with binoculars handing the notes over? Is he not using the monitor in front of him?

The guy has been a credit to the university for many years but his constant inconsistencies are absolutely mind numbing. LSU, please put someone in the booth that can ACCURATELY tell us what is going on during the game. Please.

JH is really not that bad- last week I listened to the ohio st usc game post our game on the way home- the osu announcers were so neutral that I hardly knew who they worked for-- now they were terrible - absolutely awful to the core.
I lived overseas for many many years and before sling box he was all I had-- I thought it was all right- I even heard the Bluegrass call at 430 am in asia live and I guess I thought it was Hunt for a few moments - remember wondering wow- jack hunt-- but at the end of the day he is a tiger and a long time employee and will be here a while- lets get ready for some football and put this aside.

Hawthorne is in his 60's and runs LSU's athletics communications if I'm not mistaken. He doesn't just call the games. If it were only that easy.

I still think he has one of the best voices in the business and he does a good job in baseball except for giving the score. Though I have heard people on here say that he claims a long fly ball barely makes it out the INF.

Still, he does a good job and has worked enough over the years to not be forced out.

I have it on good authority that he will be stepping down in the next year or so. So, take solace in that bit of inside info.

John Ferguson is the voice of the Tigers in perputuity. Jim Hawthorne from the cay he took the mike till today just sounds like a whinny bitch regardless of the outcome of the game.

Patrick Wright..who does women's sports...is good and has been around forever....used to do a lot of baseball. Jeff Palermo works for them and does on air stuff and he is good. I think they would be quality hires...
