I can just picture him getting into a fight with the ESPN stylist about whether he looks more attractive with 2.5 or 3 days of facial stubble

I don't think he's a very good commentator yet. He comes up with one or two "clever" sayings per game and then he repeats them ad nausea for 3.5 hours. He predefines his narrative which isn't something a good commentator should do. Yes, be prepared, but let the game play out and don't force something that isn't there.

I like Jesse. He is obviously passionate about the game and seems pretty objective to me.
