It's just the point that he has 2 screw ups and he hasn't served any time at all.

It's really unfortunate that stupidity isn't punishable with jail time, so we wouldn't have to read comments like these.

I was starting to wonder about this as well...is there a legitimate chance that Miles doesn't suspend him at all

Absolutely. Think back to the Jordan Jefferson situation. Once his legal issues were somewhat resolved, he was back on the field.

I would think so. In fact, I would think it's more likely that he won't suspend him at all. Why should he suspend him?

Honestly...that's a damn fine question.

Hill had been in no trouble while at LSU, and has now been in a fight at a bar. While the punch looked bad on tape (would any fight in a parking lot look good?) in the end the guy he hit got right back up and there were no issues from it other than some hurt pride.

Hill now has additional stipulations for his previous probation plus a curfew. In the end, did that punch warrant taking away a game?

I say no, but that's me.

I believe that he didnt suspend him on a "Time Served" type deal. He was techinally suspeded for the first 4 games because the legal process was still on going. I still say Hill sits for 3 games.

Yeah I think it'll be 3 as well

Any less than that and it makes it look like Les is just trying to rush him back for the UGA game

just so we are all clear....his probation was not extended. the 2 years is his new probation for the simple battery charge. his carnal knowledge will still end in january as long as he finishes his additional 40 hours community service

Michael Shingleton ?@MikeShingleton 28m

Hill's 2012 carnal knowledge probation expires in January, but his simple battery probation runs until July 2015. There's a difference @WBRZ

Michael Shingleton ?@MikeShingleton 27m

Judge Jackson did NOT extend Hill's probation 2yrs as reported elsewhere. Added only aforementioned provisions. @WBRZ

The same thing will apply to Hill. The "time served" will be his suspension from the team during summer workouts and team functions.

When the media asks Miles about Hill's reinstatement, all he will say is Hill is facing the appropriate punishment and is doing everything to put himself back in the teams good graces.

I love reading from the holier-than-thou crowd on this. I know I might be in the minority here but I am on Hill's side for a couple of reasons. 1. If you get drunk and run your mouth and then get your butt handed to you, accept is as a lesson learned about YOUR self control. Being rich and white drunk doesn't make you bullet proof. 2. You have to know that this wasn't the first time that some frat idiot has tried to start something with Hill (or other athletes for that matter) and was counting on their position as an LSU athlete to protect them from getting a well deseved butt kicking. At some point the target gets fed up and reacts.

Now that you have stated that let me put it to you this way and maybe you will understand what you just said...If I am already on probation (and knowing that if I mess up by getting a new case misdemeanor or more my freedom coould be taken)plus given a chance to have a career where I can earn millions I would think I would have some self control...And if I have already been tried by some drunken idiot before and I know I did not like the first time I know I would avoid those kind of places and people because I am the one with the most to lose...You people need to stop making excuses for this kids continue f-ups, if any one of you had been to target of his punch that night you would not be on this board defining his stupidity...Now let's show the rest of the team that rules setup are a joke and not to be respected and let him play because we all know that the important thing here is that we win...yea yea I know freak me I am a retard!

"I'm terribly disappointed in my actions. I've learned to put myself in better situations and around better people. I haven't been to any bars and I've been going to church with my family."

Way to lay it on thick JH, this will get him back in the graces and on the playing field soon!

Sigh

No, not really. Far less arrests than other comparable SEC schools in the last 20 years.
